OSU fans (especially @dawgsoldier who predicted this move) should be very happy. 3 year deal.

I’ve got to say that except for trading Shelton for nothing I really like what Dorsey’s doing. He’s filling holes so we can be free to draft best players.

Does this affect the possibility of us drafting RB 1st overall? Not in my opinion.

For anyone still thinking the Browns will draft Barkley at #4 this should give them some idea that the boat has sailed on that dream.

Personally I believe the boat sailed on that long ago. Shooter’s screwed. John Dorsey has been a part of 27 NFL drafts. NOT ONCE has he drafted an RB in the 1st round. Only once in 27 years did he draft an RB in the 2nd round.
Dorsey does not draft RB’s in the top of the draft. Period. He finds his RB’s late, and gets good ones. Example Kareem Hunt who he drafted in the 3rd round who just happened to lead the NFL in rushing last season.

I hope Shooter doesn’t read that, he might try to back out of the bet. Sorry Shoots, prior ignorance was not one of our out clauses.

    I completely agree.

Because we’re taking him at #1.

Also, they really overpaid for a guy who will 28 in September and has seen his rushing numbers, um, suck recently. He’s good for catching passes out of the backfield, but in now way is Carlos Hyde going to be our lead back, nor should he be considered one.

6 Million guaranteed in the 1st year is kind of crazy to me, but we have tons of cash to burn so, I guess who gives a shit.

Lol. Hyde’s hands suck. League leading 9 drops. He’s awful in that regard.

Per rumors Browns showed most interest in RB’s Sony Michel, Ronald Jones and Kalen Ballage at the combine in Indy.

Also Browns showed interest in many CB’s projected to go late first to early second rounds by experts.

He had 60 catches last year. Nearly 90 in the last 2 years. You can’t have 90 catches and be “awful in that regard”.

And all I’m saying anyway is that he’s a better threat catching out of the backfield than he is his rushing out of it with his 3.9 YPC.

Either way, no matter how you want to break down his production or lack thereof, he wasn’t signed to be a lead back. At all. That’s why the 6 mil guaranteed this year is rather surprising. That’s a lot for a guy who, isn’t going to produce a whole helluva lot sharing the backfield with Duke and Barkley.

Another wasteful signing. Bad team gets more bad.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

Oh, he sucks at catching. He was just the only option for their QBs. He caught 90 in 2 years. Who cares? Duke caught 74 last year alone. Unfortunately I think Hyde means no Barkley for you. Lol.

Maybe a change of teams will benefit Carlos he’s at least as good as the Crow if not a tad better, and adding a quality rook in the second and we’re ready enough.

And folks wondered why I put Hyde and Ballage in my mocj offseasons
