Pretty easy decision IMO. He hasn’t caught a single pass in live action ever. He’s been hampered by an ankle injury which kept him doing nothing for most of the preseason. He has done nothing to prove he’s worthy of a spot on the WR depth chart. Yeah he’s athletic but it takes more than that. I’m surprised he wasn’t released earlier this week. Having an injury sucks, but he didn’t have time to prove he was good enough at WR to stick.

Odd move. You need a RB because you only have two on your 53-man roster..so you pick up one that may be out until at least week #4.

Losing confidence in this organization day by day. I’ll gladly change my tune if they prove me otherwise.

I agree with @durakbane. I’m disappointed about Pryor, he has tons and tons of potential and clearly was willing to put forth the effort, when healthy, but I “get it”.

Turbin, on the other hand…we need a running back on the field Sunday. He won’t be available until October. They must really see something in him.

I’m assuming someone else gets cut to make room for Draughn. Any guesses who? I’d say Austin Davis, if Manziel is healthy, but I don’t know if claiming/cutting with that little turnaround is legal under league rules?

Also, I guess the only negative from cutting Pryor, to me, was that we no longer have a “dangerous with the football in his hands” player. Sure, we have some sneaky receivers with great hands, and Crow is a great “move the chains” guy. I just don’t see a guy who can make a couple guys miss and burn off a 90 yard play. Maybe Duke Johnson? I have yet to see him play. This is a terribly unathletic team.

People are only ticked about Pryor because he went to OSU. He proved nothing. That said, I agree with durak. Signing a RB who won’t be healthy for a month is silly. But, this OC already stated we will t her own a bunch of short passes which means we don’t plan to hand off the ball at all.

While I liked the idea of having him on the team, there’s really only one scenario that makes sense on the timing of how this went down- the coaches saw something about him that they didn’t like, enough to make him expendable. Nothing else makes any sense.

As far as Turbin goes…they must like him a lot to wait on him to heal. What little time he did play, he averaged 4.0 YPC. Still, key words are “little time”. Plenty unproven in my book.

So far this season, it looks as if nobody knows what the fuck they’re doing. I hope they prove that statement wrong, but I doubt it.
