Sashi Brown- the magic man. How the hell did he swing a 5th rounder? I mean, I thought we would have to give up a 5th to get rid of him!

Erving has a forgiving rookie contract with a 5th year option, Haden was owed about $30 mil over the next 3 years.

If Haden was traded that team would have a 2 year $22 million contract they’d have to pay out. Haden refused less money so the option for the Browns was cut or keep at $22 million.

Haden didn’t take the pay cut so now he gets to choose his new team from the interested rather than being stuck on another garbage team like the Jets.

    Freedom!!!

Presenting: Cameron Erving- the man every defensive player in the NFL goes thorough (to get to the QB).

Boy, we’re gonna miss you as much as you miss blocking (literally, everybody).

Godspeed, Smith and Mahomes. You’re gonna need it.

This is…I don’t know….How the F….not since Kevin Costner convinced Seattle to give him 2 1st round picks and a key special teamer to move up 1 spot in draft for a guy Cleveland didn’t even want has a Browns GM fleeced another team so badly.

The only only only downside I see to this move is that I drafted Kareem Hunt in 2 fantasy leagues, and if Erving is ever forced to play, Hunt will be on IR within 2 games.

In MLB, a team can agree to pay part of the remaining contract for a player they are trading away in order to get a better return. Is that not permitted in football?
