He’s 33 and still of a hell of a center. If the plan “”is”” to draft a rookie QB, pairing him with a vet center to make the line calls and help with things would be a REALLY good idea IMO.

ParticipantI have to say I agree. There’s still rubber on those tires and we have so much cap space it makes too much sense not too. Also, an experienced Center like that is a safety blanket for a rookie QB, if we go that route.

ParticipantI’m with Ice. At the same time, if he comes near a vet minimum (33 coming off a season ending ankle injury) he’d be a nice addition (especially line call wise) to rbing along a young center. His age is the big deterrant overall. This is from September of 2016:
