I used to enjoy listening to him a lot, but he blew his Baker Mayfield-Sam Darnold take up and every football conversation worked it’s way back to those to. And in the last couple years, he’s more and more gone to sweeping declarations (such as this video) a la Skip Bayless, and he’s done less and less insightful analysis.

Around 2007, 2008 or so I was still listening to him on occasion. One time he was talking about his wife (at the time) and how they at one point had tried to have another kid but she couldn’t get pregnant–something to do with her being too lean or something, he said. Talked about how they went to fertiltiy specialists. Then he basically said that he got her a Big Mac and got her knocked up.
I was like, how could you talk about stuff like that on the air? About your wife? And treating it like a joke? What’s wrong with you? Haven’t listened to him since. He’s a clown.
Saw on Twitter, that turd burgler said on his show today that the reason the Browns are so bad on defense is they know Baker is bad, so they overspent on offensive guys like Hooper and OBJ, who they didn’t need because they put up 42 without them, and didn’t have any money left to spend on the defense. And he said the Ravens were just bad because their back 7 was banged up.
It’s astoundingly difficult to be so wrong so many times within such a short segment.

I wasn’t a fan of the trades either, but he’s arguing that the OBJ trade was made because the Browns didn’t think Baker was any good and that’s why the defense stunk last night. Never mind that the trade was made when Baker was fresh off setting the record for TDs thrown by a rookie. Never mind that the Browns still had and have plenty of cap space to address the defense how they see fit. Never mind that the browns GOT Vernon and traded away Zeitler as part of those trades (thereby helping the defense and hurting the offense).
This was all part of a rant where he excused Baltiwhore’s bad defense because of injuries because Marcus Peters got hurt and missed like 4 plays during the game, but he blamed Baker for the Browns poor defense, specifically the back 7, disregarding that all 4 starters in the secondary missed last nights game.
When it comes to Sports talk on TV, I watch very little. All most of them do is scream above each other instead of having a conversation. The exception for me is Good Morning Football on the NFL-N. They talk with screaming over each other.

He’s not wrong there IMO.
Then he says said trades were to put training wheels on baker to make sure he succeded. This is where gets dumb for me. So the idea of making sure your attempt at getting a franchise is succesfull is dumb. Really as Joe Burrow if he likes that idea. Then the other side is if the Browns didn’t do that they woold be were the Bengals are there now. And kind of where they were last year when the had shit for OT’s.
The one thing we all agree with was the Giant trades were just BAD in retrospect. Now are OBJ and and Vernon bad players: No. Were their contracts bad contracts: Yes. Was the assets given up for them a bad deal? Ie Would rather have the assets back or would you rather have OBJ and Vernon. I’d rather have the assets back.
