In the 2nd half of the Rats game the adjustment was to Bull rush both OT’s to collaspe the pocket and throwing lanes of a short QB.

Both tackles looked like they were on roller skates.

I have said it multiple times. But those 2 are my top teed positions for 2019.

Ravens are the #2 D in the NFL. Harrison is a UDFA. Like all rookies but Joe Thomas, he has to learn to adjust. Gilbert has been the most shocking disappointment because he’s done the scheme for years.

Our run offense is 5th in the NFL in YPC. Our line is coming together.

My lone Mayfield issue he needs to work on (though I don’t want him to of that makes any sense) is he’ll hold the ball to try and make a play rather than throw it away which can cause some sacke

SOup the adjustmen. is ether you get stout at the PoA or you get replaced. You can have your bookends of your OL getting steam rolled in pass pro. Like the raiders and the the Ravens did.

Thats the book right now on this baker lead O imo. Steam roll the edges and collapse the pocket. And then flush Baker and make a play.

You’re expecting a rookie to adjust mid game with no practice in between in week 5? Wait and see how it flushed out by years nd

Harrison can still get stronger, and Joe Thomas said he will. Yep he struggled in the 2nd half because he did so well in the 1st half against Suggs with TE help that they decided they could pull the blocking TE and put him in a route. Suggs had one sack the entire game. One of the league’s best pass rushers against a guy who was unloading trucks the last couple years and he only got to the QB once. I’ll take that.

Cameron Heyward didn’t start until his 3rd year in the league. Is he strong at the point of attack?

Harrison is looking pretty good. Using a high pick to replace him, at this point, looks foolish. He’s not Spencer Drango, getting owned out there. Hubbard I could see, but he’s not so bad that replacing him is a huge need. If our biggest need is an OT going into the draft next year, our roster is in a very good state.

Knock on wood, but we may actually be in position to just take the best player available in the draft next year. That’s amazing.

One thing I’ve noticed is Mayfield, when pressured, moves up and then to the left (opposite of JFK) almost every time. The Ravens definitely made some second half adjustments to take advantage, and we still beat them.

And now all I can picture is Philip Rivers I the film room:

Up, and to the left….up, and to the left….up, and to the left

There had to be a second sacker.
