If it’s true that he’s looking for a one-year “prove it” deal, I hope he signs. He’ll be playing hard every down to show he’s worth a big contract next year, he’ll be a vocal leader alongside Landry, and most importantly he’s one more veteran whom our young guys will need to battle for playing time.

Dez is the classic “prima donna” receiver. He needs to be playing like classic Dez if tolerating his baggage is going to be worth it. 45 catches for 700 yards and 3 TD’s is in no way worth it for the soundbites, the sideline explosions, the drama, the rants, the calling out teammates, the finger pointing and boasting, and the overall locker room disturbance. 90 catch, 1300 Yard, 15 TD’s Dez is worth that, but not the former.

Now, with Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry, David Njoku, and Duke Johnson on this team all catching passes and producing (especially in the red zone) which version of Dez do you think you’ll get? Keep in mind, there’s only 1 football.

The reality is, at-best, Dez will be 45 catches for 700 yards and 3TD’s Dez.

I have no interest in that Dez.
