7 is generous… That is Kenny Britt’s stat by himself.

Hey soup, how’s Josh mccown doing?

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

They had 8 drops in the Indy game alone according to PFF. I trust their stats much more.

Here’s an interesting stat I heard on Cleveland Browns Daily: if you adjust for drops, remove things like throwaways and spiking the ball, Kizer actually has the 8th best completion percentage in the league at over 78%. Again that stat provided by PFF, a site which I know you believe in Soup.

If the Browns receivers were as interested in holding on to the football as much as the QB is we might be able to play.

He’s ranked #32 QB in the NFL per PFF

In other words, he’s good enough to be a starting QB in this league?!?

I think the stat I’m referring to may be behind a paywall, but they talked about it in depth on CBD. I’m not saying Kizer is playing well what I’m saying is he is not the most glaring problem.

I don’t think he is playing as bad as the stats. It is expected he will have interceptions…. Reminder, manning set the rookie record for this.

Thanks for sharing that info from pft Ice. Definitely puts a realistic point on it.

You certainly didn’t hear that right in the least. Not even remotely close to true. This is after being 0-3 (ie doesn’t include his most recent horrific excuse for an outing):

Analytics site shows pressure a problem

According to profootballfocus.com, which the Browns rely heavily on, Kizer was pressured on 19/52 dropbacks against the Colts, (36.5 percent), going 4-for-15 for 78 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, and a 43.2 passer rating. They also rank him second-worst among NFL quarterbacks with a 59.5 adjusted completion percentage, which factors out drops, throw-aways and spikes.

The site has also tracked Kizer’s tendency to hold the ball too long, ranking him among the four QBs taking the most time — with an inability to average less than three seconds in any game. When taking 2.5 secs. or less vs. the Colts, he was 14-for-24, 1 TD, 1 INT, and a passer rating of 78.1. When greater than 2.5 seconds, Kizer dipped to 8-for-23, 1 TD, 2 INT, and a passer rating of 21.8.

Again that was after the Colts game. I was quoting the latest stats after the Bengals game. We don’t get to see those on this side of the Great Wall of Pay.

That was about him through the first 3 games combined. Not just the Colts.
