I wouldn’t be mad about any of this, but personal preference if they go DE in the first round of rather go the speedy, athletic pass rusher route. Basham is more of the big, strong edge-sealer with limited rushing ability. I’d rather a front four we can consistenly rely on to provide pressure on every down without help, freeing up the rest of our defense to mix up and disguise coverage.

Drafting a lot of help in the secondary and another athletic linebacker is a great move. If nothing else, the Steelers showed us what a fast, athletic defense can do.

The speedy guys are under sized tweeners in this so so edge rusher class. Bashem I think will time ok. I was just trying to pick someone that fit the scheme and was good vs the run and pass.

That and I just tried to add size to the defense everywhere.

This defense needs reenforcements. Hopefully we are in store for a draft like this.
