Round 1 Pick 17 Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia
    Height: 6-6. Weight: 330.
Bednarik Award Semifinalist. Davis is a run game stopper pure and simple. He requires two blockers at all times or he will destroy that offensive snap if left to just one blocker. Pairing him with McDowell will by itself improve the Browns run defense to a top 10 ranking IMO.

Round 2 Pick 16 Jack Campbell, ILB, Iowa
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 243.
Butkus Award Collegiate Semifinalist. Campbell was an all state fordward at his Iowa high school. So having a LB that can move like a basketball player on the grd iron. to cover TE’s with the same skill set makes a ton of since. As taller LB’s can hang with tight ends as they are similar sized. Campbell is very good vs the run and covering the pass as well as blitzing the passer. He is the keystone to the Hawkeyes front 7. As he is a pain to throw over at 6-5 and a pain to run on at 243 pounds. And when he comes down hill he can knock a QB right out of a game on a blitz. See Penn State VS Iowa

Round 3 Pick 15 Alec Pierce, WR, Cincinnati
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 213.
One of my favorite WR’s in the draft. The guy just works and does his job. His run blocking and route running and the scheme he plays in IMO all translate well into KS’s scheme. He and DPJ will be a nice outside WR duo.

Round 4 Pick 1 Cameron Thomas, DE, San Diego State
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 270.
Bednarik Award Semifinalist list. According to Pro Football Focus, Thomas is graded out as the top defensive player in the country at 90.5 (min. 400 snaps). Thomas is also first in quarterback hits (15) and second in quarterback pressures (sacks/hits/hurries) (44). Over the last 11 games dating back to last season, he has 69 tackles (37 solo), 19.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks. Now all this in the Mountain West admittedly. So there are legit big fish in a small pond concerns. But that isn’t to say there isn’t ability there either. Bottom line IMO he could be a 43 LDE starter in the league.

Round 4 Pick 18 Riley Moss, CB/NB, Iowa
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 194.
Semifinalist for the 2021 Jim Thorpe Award. Moss is tied for second in the country and leads the Big Ten with four interceptions, despite missing Iowa’s most recent game due to injury. Moss had two interceptions returned for touchdowns in Iowa’s opening win over Indiana. He has 10 career interceptions, with three returned for touchdowns. Bottom line Moss is a ball hawk. At the next level he can either be your 2nd or 3rd corner. And seems equally proficient in man, press, and zone. And is physical at the point of attack. He also projects well as a Corner Back and a Nickel Back, as he plays zone well and reads the QB and WR well.

Round 5 Pick 17 Sterling Weatherford, SS/LB, Miami (Ohio)
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 225.
Weatherford is that “athlete” and or “hybrid” player Woods scheme calls for. He has 4.5 speed. He uses his height and long arms to defend the pass as well. His coverage vs tight ends is very good as he uses his size well. He has also sacked the QB once and has two interceptions as well this season. So he plays the run well and blitzes the passer.

Round 6 Pick 16 Reed Blankenship, Middle Tennessee State
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 204.
Blankeship is a VERSATILE player. He has played the big nickel slot defender, he has played a 2 hi safety look and been as single hi free safety as well. He posesses press, zone, and man coverage skills. The three biggest reasons he is isn’t an earlier draft pick. Is he is from a small cofference, is a 5th year senior, and he had a medical red shirt year where he broke his leg. He actually reminds me of a B+ version of JJ3 talent/skill set wise.

Round 7 Pick 1 Kyle Philips, WR, UCLA
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 191.
When I watch tape on this guy my mind immediately thinks of Wes Welker & Julian Edelman. Same height and build with a quickness in and out of rotes. With a nose for the yard marker and converting 3rd downs. He also is a good kick returner as well. He supplanted Felton as the slot receiver so Felton went to running back last year at UCLA.
