Beckham Jr. has been cut & Landry is next so that AB can gain 30 mill in cap space. How much tread is left on the tire? I am thinking not much. Thats why I am letting Juice go in favor of keeping more productive less expensive players.

Estimated 2022 cap hit on Free Agent class: 30 million

Round 1 Pick 24 DT Jordan Davis, Georgia
HT:6-6 WT:300 Bednarik Award Semifinalist. Davis is a run game stopper pure and simple he rewuires to blockers at all times or he will destroy that offensive snap if left to just one blocker. Pairing him him with McDOwell will by itself improve the Browns run defense to a top 10 ranking IMO.

Round 2 Pick 24 LB Jack Campbell, Iowa
HT:6-5 WT:243 2021 Butkus Award Collegiate Semifinalist. Campbell is a the of the new breed of tall inside or mike backers. As taller lB’s can hang with tight ends as the simular sized. Campbell is a very good in the run and pass and blitzing the passer. He is the keystone to the Hawkeyes front 7. As he is a pain to throw over at 6-5 and a pain to run on at 243.

Round 3 Pick 24 WR Alec Pierce, Cincinnati
HT:6-3 WT:213 One of my favorite WR’s in the draft. The guy just works and does his job His run blocking and route running and the scheme he plays in IMO all translate well into KS’s scheme. He and DPJ will be a nice out side WR duo.

Round 4 Pick 2 DE Cameron Thomas, San Diego State
HT:6-5 WT:270 Bednarik Award Semifinalist list. According to Pro Football Focus, Thomas is graded out as the top defensive player in the country at 90.5 (min. 400 snaps). Thomas is also first in quarterback hits (15) and second in quarterback pressures (sacks/hits/hurries) (44). Over the last 11 games dating back to last season, he has 69 tackles (37 solo), 19.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks. Now all this in the Moutain West admittedly. So there are legit big fish in a small pound concerns. But that isn’t to say there isn’t ability there ether. Bottom line IMO he could be a 43 LDE starter in the league.

Round 4 Pick 24 CB Riley Moss, Iowa
HT:6-1 WT:195 Semifinalist for the 2021 Jim Thorpe Award. Moss is tied for second in the country and leads the Big Ten with four interceptions, despite missing Iowa’s most recent game due to injury. Moss had two interceptions returns for touchdowns in Iowa’s opening win over Indiana. He has 10 career interceptions, with three returned for touchdowns. Bottom line Moss is a ball hawk. At the next level he can ether be your 2nd or 3rd corner. And seems equally proficient in man, press, and zone

Round 5 Pick 24 SS/LB Sterling Weatherford, Miami of Ohio
HT:6-4 WT:225 Weatherford is that “athlete” and or “hybrid” player Woods scheme calls for. He has 4.5 speed. He coveres tights well with his size and has sacked the QB once and has two interceptions as well. He uses his height and long arms to defend the pass as well

Round 6 Pick 23 TE Noah Gindorf, North Dakota State
HT:6-6 WT:266 A road grader on the edge in the run game. But also a great safety vavle and redzone target in the pass game. Gindorff isn’t a burner by TE standards but posses enough speed to find zoft zones and whole in the defense.

Round 7 Pick 2 WR Kyle Philips, UCLA
HT:5-11 WT:195 When I watch tape on this guy my mind immediately thinks of Wes Welker&Julian Edelman. Same hight and build with a quicksness in and out of rotes. With a nose for the yard marker and converting 3rd downs. He also is a good kick returner as well. He suuplanted Felton as the slot reciever so Felton went to running back last year at UCLA.

For those that want the OL addressed. The only guy on the OL I am not bringing back is Hubbard because he can’t stay healthy. In 2023 when Conklins Bitonio’s and Tretters contracts are all up is when if I was AB I’d addresss that issue then. Also for those that want Njoku back for a player to be retained he has to want to be here. The guy has requested a trade twice. So I don’t see him staying. For those that would tather see Harrison walk. I am of the opinion. Given the seme fit and the likely asking price I keep him around instead creating a whole to fill.

    Thoughts? Critques? Comments?
