Round 1 Pick 1 Browns TRADE for Round 1 Pick 2 NYG, Round 2 Pick 2 NYG & 2019 Round 2 Pick
Giants take Darnold
Round 1 Pick 2 Josh Allen QB Wyoming
The Browns have the perfect situation to shelve this kid for a year and work on him realizing his massive potential. The Browns pick the QB with the most God given talent in the entire draft and possibly the last 5 drafts as well.

Broncos take Mayfield
Round 1 Pick 5 Quenton Nelson, OT, Notre Dame
Ok this is a bit of a calculated risk. Is Nelson a LT I am not a 100% sure. Is better than anything on the roster. Yes. Is a Potential franchise LT worth the risk of a top 5 pick .Yes. Whats the worse case scenario: The BEST guard prospect in years can’t make the transition and you used a top5 pick on a 10 year pro bowler at guard
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/quenton-nelson?id=32462018-0002-5599-486f-d1010a40f61aRound 2 Pick 1 Jaire Alexander*, CB, Louisville
Alexander falls a bit because of injury/durability concerns. But the guy is super talentedand also has return skills.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jaire-alexander?id=32462018-0002-5601-02dd-cf478fa51b0eRound 2 Pick 2 Courtland Sutton*, WR, SMU
IMO a great guy to pair with Gordon on the outside. Big tall runs great routes and uses his body effectively to create space and windows for the ball to be thrown into.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/courtland-sutton?id=32462018-0002-5600-18de-e88c26b17c1cRound 2 Pick 3 Frank Ragnow, C/G, Arkansas
Personally I think the OL has only 2 really good starters and thats the guards. The rest need replaced in my view. Ragnow is a great run blocker and has never allowed a sack.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/frank-ragnow?id=32462018-0002-5598-2498-7d09b5e02409Round 2 Pick 8 Taven Bryan*, DT, Florida
Big white DT that has all the white cliches, high motor, blue collar ect. The kid is a bit of physical freak and has been getting buy on that so far. He adds some technique to his game and look out.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/taven-bryan?id=32462018-0002-5601-4019-7ec2f41a69d1Round 2 Pick 32 Brian O’Neill*, OT, Pittsburgh
Really interesting prospect. Started out as a WR, then moved to TE and then OT. Really athletic for a big man, but he needs to add strength. Which an NFL strength and conditioning program CAN do. He is supposedly working on that right now as the kid wants to play right away.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/brian-o’neill?id=32462018-0002-5601-12da-65ed51810c59Round 4 Pick 14 Kalen Ballage, RB, Arizona State
Tall power runner that is great in the open field too and has soft hands catching the ball. Set the FBS record for rushing TD’s in a game at 7.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/kalen-ballage?id=32462018-0002-5599-95ff-38837404d292Round 5 Pick 22 Allen Lazard, WR, Iowa State
Tall posseion/red zone target WR that falls a bit because he is good route runner rather than a speed merchant.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/allen-lazard?id=32462018-0002-5598-54b7-82a438b6b248Round 6 Pick 1 Jack Cichy, LB, Wisconsin
Cichy did well at wisconsins pro day but he still wasn’t healed enough to do all the testing. Even still what he did was impressive. But the injury and duability concerns are valid. That said bringing him along slowly and you really could have yourself a steal.
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jack-cichy?id=32462018-0002-5601-5463-08cf6a6a2b2aRound 7 Pick 1 Nick Bawden, FB, San Diego State
One of the best lead blocking FB’s in the nation and also a former QB. SO he under stands schemes/protections and is really good at picking up blitzes as well as running the rock and catching passes.

April 3, 2018 at 7:55 pm #11978mike barnesParticipantNelson is not a left tackle so picking him at #5 makes zero sense when we’re already set at guard for at least 3 years, Would rather have Darnold at #1 than Allen at #2 and don’t think Sutton will last till #35 look for him to go in the 20 to 30 range.

Serveral teams as in the Bears and Bengals have looked at Nelson as a OT. Also a Top 5 pick IMO should be used on a franchis foundational position and LT is one of those.
As for Sutton. I had him fall a bit because i put faster guys in front of him. from about 15 to 35 theres a group of 5 WR’s that could go in any order depending on team needs and acheme.

April 4, 2018 at 8:02 am #11983IceKeymasterMock drafts are for fun, right? Nelson isn’t an LT so I’m not a fan of that pick but whatevs. He’s the best player in the draft.
Also Josh Allen is a 6th round pick with a 1st round arm.
If we’re moving to 2 with the Giants they can throw in OBJ.I like taking multiple shots at WR and still adding DB’s. I think we could benefit from help rushing the passer though.

Using this pick on him to play out of position is as silly as the Browns using a 1st rounder on a guy who played a whopping 5 games at C in college.
Freedom!!!
April 4, 2018 at 10:28 am #11986mike barnesParticipantIf the Browns want to look at Tackle then guys like Tyrell Crosby and Martinas Rankin should be there in the second round. As for WR D.J. Chark from LSU and Anthony Miller from Memphis will be there at the top of the second. RB can be filled by Sony Michel Nick Chubb and Kerryon Johnson will be available in the mid to late second.
