    RG3 – he’s terrible.

    But he wasn’t rusty!

We lost 33-13 and you wrote 2/3 of a page about the refs? Do you think if the refs had called a perfectly fair game we would have won? I sure as hell don’t.

There are 3 goats for this game. Anyone associated with the offense, anyone associated with the defense, and anyone associated with special teams.

Those are the goats of this game and the entire season, period.

    That’s more than 3.

    I mean, collectively.

I don’t wanna nitpick or anything but, just sayin. That’s like, 30 people. Probably more. Clearly more.

    You’re speaking in groups.

There’s only one goat. Jimmy Haslam. He laid the foundation for this season when he fired Chud and cleaned house.

That forced Us into accepting garbage coaches and FO, who picked garbage players. The talent we did have eroded and wasn’t replaced. Haslam torpedoed is again by forcing the Manziel pick.

All this led to a new regime inheriting no talent, overpaid Veterans, and a group of players walking out the door because they didn’t want to watch the circus anymore.

    Jimmy Haslam. One goat.

Would’ve made a monster difference. We had a 22 yard swing in field position on a 12 yard run. They got a 30 yard swing based off a hold. Instead of 1st and 10 on our 29 it would’ve been 2nd and 22 on their own 41. And if we moved no further after our 12 yard run and punt – that’s 2nd and 22 at their own 19 off that swing of 52 yards of field position combined.

Now throw in the hold on Taylor scramble inside the 5. They got a free 7 points. We get inside the 5 and they lie about holding. We lose 4 points. There’s an 11 point swing in the game.

Go back and do the rest of the math. We literally had a drive end on an uncalled pass interference and had to punt. That has an effect on the game.

The officiating was blatantly fixed. It’s only going to get worse.

Let teams that are in contention complain about the refs. Even if you invent 20 phantom points that the refs cost us, that only brings us even with the Buffalo Bills. THE BUFFALO BILLS.

The refs are the least of our problems.

In contention or not, it doesn’t matter. How does an offense get to develop when phantom holding calls go against them? How do they develop when in 3rd and 6 the defense is allowed to knock the receiver down before the ball gets there without a penalty? The game is largely built in momentum.

So the refs are the reason our players aren’t developing?

The absolute least of our problems. Hue is fine, and a good, good coach. He just has zero talent to work with. Garbage players.

I put almost nothing on Hue Jackson at this point, the man literally has nothing to work with.

The blame belongs solely on the owner at this point. His mistakes are numerous, especially in his previous hires and fires. The previous GM’s he never should have hired have left us with this team almost devoid of talent. There were coaches who had no business being a head coach, and coaches who didn’t even get a chance.

What we end up with is a team that has been getting worse every year since Haslam took over. We have really bad players. That’s the reason this team is so bad.

I think that if next season doesn’t show significant improvement you’re going to see a groundswell for Haslam to sell the team. He has been nothing short of a bumbling idiot since he took over this team.

And when i say significant, I mean just that. A very competitive, .500 or better football team. If we go 3-13 or some shit, the pitchforks for Haslam are going to come out. 8-8 would do wonders for this team, and frankly, it has to happen.

Significant improvement? A win? A somewhat organized football team on the field? good coaching?

    Keep blowing an 0-14 coach.

Its purely on Haslem – he should fire all these loser.

If the fans keep just sitting here and saying “it’s not the coaches fault” then who’s fucking fault is it? You can blame the owner as much as you want, but he writes the paychecks and expects results.

You literally have no idea what you’re talking about when you speak. Your ignorance is second to none when it comes to anything to do with a football organization.

So far this season, these have been your main points:

*RG3 is a good QB. – he’s total, absolute garbage
*Haslam bought the team on the cheap. -he paid over a billion dollars.
*Haslam has put no money into the stadium. -launched a 125 million dollar 2 phase renovation completely remaking the stadium.
*Haslam wants to move the team. – completely impossible for him to do so.
Haslam should fire the front office and coaches. -exactly the thing that has led us to where we currently are. Great idea, do it again and keep making it worse.

I just can’t talk to you anymore. your complete lack of knowledge, rational thinking, and plain old common sense make communication with you both painful and grating. I’d get more out of talking to a potato.

    1) I have never said once RG3 is good. If you can quote me anywhere, then please. I actually applaud Hue Jackson as you should too that he is playing RG3. He was the plan from day 1 this year and the fact that he is putting him in actually sticking to one plan. I don’t think RG3 is any good….but like everyone on this board wants to see is some consistency. I WELCOME YOU TO QUOTE ME ANYWHERE ON THIS FORUM WHERE I SAY HE IS GOOD.

    2) He did not pay over a billion. Again, stop using Soup as your facts. Economy was bad, he bought an NFL team. It appears it was a good investment – I don’t take that away from him at all.

    3) I apologize for my mistake – besides the scoreboard, it looks like the same old factory to me, but with a shitty drum line.

    4) Haslem cares about money, not the city of Cleveland. Trust me, he gets a shot, he will do it. He has scammed how many thousands of customers at his truck stop? He is scamming the shit out of you right now.

    5) Haslem should hire competent people – not people who run an 0-16 program – Soup would coach better than that.

I think you are a professional potato makers because that sums up your knowledge.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

FYI he can move the team whenever he wants. Contracts mean nothing. The original team had a stadium lease through 1999. I’m currently (started it two years ago) suing my builder for contract breach. Frankly, they should be in jail for felony contract fraud for what they are doing/did. So again, contracts mean nothing. Rich people do what they want and get lawyers to tie things up for years.

This is, just absolutely false. No, he can’t.

He did not pay over a billion.

He purchased 70% of the Browns from Randy Lerner for 1.05 Billion. That alone is over 1 billion. 1.05 is more than 1. Further, he was supposed to buy the remaining 30% from him this year. I can’t find if he’s done that already or what he paid to do so.

So, you’re fucking wrong. There is no other way to explain this to you.

Let me ask you a simple question. is 1.05 Billion more than 1 billion?

He paid over a billion dollars.

Also, I am glad you care so much about everything else with the browns except for the product on the field you are giving a pass.

Even if he breached the contract, he will just settle. Donald Trump has been doing it for ever and he is the president. I am sure Jimmy Haslem can do what ever the fuck he wants unless some dumbass on a browns forum says he can’t…ring in shooter…

Don’t be ridiculous. Of course I don’t approve of this. But you’re missing the fundamental issues that are the cause for the situation we are in, and are advocating to do the very thing that more than anything caused us to be here in the first place. Don’t you understand that’s counter productive? Very, counter productive?

I’ll explain it one final time. The original teams lease was through 1999. Here’s what you are referring to in the Haslam deal:

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson also stated in a release that the Browns are tied to a 30-year lease through 2029 with Cleveland Browns Stadium and that the city would pursue legal options if there was any attempt to break it and move the team.

Absolutely no difference. He can move the team whenever he wants with league approval. I fully expect it around 2020.

The lease is one thing. It’d be expensive for him to break it, but sure, if he wanted to he could.

But that’s not what I’m talking about.
