Game ball:
Njoku – finally learned to catch
Goats:
Stefanski – completely unprepared in every facet along with what we knew would be a pass happy offense completely allergic to the run.
Beckham:
Trade him. Addition by subtraction. When he’s in the field they try and force it to him. It’d be addition by subtraction. Healthy and dropping passes
Joe Woods:
No where to begin as this was just pathetic trash
Secondary WTF was that? 5 yards around each receiver.
Seibert:
He best be cut tomorrow
Haslam:
For keeping and listening to baseball guy
Baseball guy:
For hiring a moron as coach
Analytics:
For being useless in football and Haslam too dumb to see it

September 13, 2020 at 3:39 pm #19241the dudeParticipantSpecial teams coach should be left in Baltimore.
Hue Jackson is a loser.
September 13, 2020 at 3:43 pm #19243soupParticipantDelay of game in 4th and 1. IN A STADIUM WITH NO FANS!!!!
Any defense of Stefanski other than by our opponents is unacceptable. At least I’ll be asleep at halftime on Thursday when Burrrow has thrown 4 first half TDS

September 13, 2020 at 3:52 pm #19245MDP Sack AttackParticipantThis was the worst opener I can remember. At least Hue got us a tie.
September 13, 2020 at 7:36 pm #19252ShooterModeratorThere have been worse.
There was Brandon Weedens first game.
September 13, 2020 at 10:00 pm #19254Dawg E. DawgParticipantLast years was worse. I expected to lose to Baltimore, I expected shit stomp the Titans, and we got shit stomped instead.
September 13, 2020 at 10:31 pm #19256GABrownsFanParticipantThe bright side is if we lose to Cincy, we can start talking about the 2021 draft. So we have that going for us.
September 14, 2020 at 8:56 am #19257IceKeymasterGame balls
Ogunjobi quietly made a ton of plays. 110% effort.
Landry caught everything that came near him.
O-line did a good job protecting as well as run blocking.Charles Davis is a surprisingly good broadcaster. He’ll move up to the #1 team by next season IMO.
Goats
Anyone who called for the coach to be fired 10 plays into the game
Anyone who didn’t call for the coach to be fired after the game
Seibert (Shankbert?) can’t hit a chip shot to save his life.
Baker has lost it.
OBJ
Our LB’s were thoroughly embarrassed.
Our safeties seemed to not understand the defense half the time, probably because our starting SS just joined the team last week. The NFL for pandering societal pressure and filling the field with political slogans (all from one side of the political spectrum). NO POLITICS IN MY FOOTBALL
September 14, 2020 at 9:56 am #19258soupParticipantHaha! @ice great first 2 goats. Good call on Ogunjobi and Landry and the OL.

They stopped caring. They clearly recognize an ill equipped coach and Stefanski is Freddie part 2. Mayfield will be a back up elsewhere next year. Next draft won’t be worth evaluating because that guy will suffer the fate of multiple regimes.

September 14, 2020 at 11:19 am #19266MDP Sack AttackParticipantOur Linebackers are definitely as bad as feared. Goodson and Takitaki are simply too slow to effectively blitz or drop into coverage. Maybe Wilson will help, but letting Schobert and Kirksey both walk was a terrible move.
Hodge needs to go. I have no idea why he was on the field so much, maybe it was just to make Beckham’s routes look crisp by comparison.
September 14, 2020 at 11:57 am #19267IceKeymasterSchobert was 100% the brains of our defense. Our LB’s especially are lost without him. Wilson’s return will make us much more athletic but sadly not any smarter. I’m not sure that Takitaki, as much as I like him, is an NFL starter or ever will be.
Also while splitting the carries between Chubb and Hunt is a big positive for our team, it’s gonna wreck my fantasy football season.
September 14, 2020 at 12:05 pm #19268IceKeymasterThey clearly recognize an ill equipped coach and Stefanski is Freddie part 2.
Stefanski is the opposite of Freddie. Freddie was all personality and no brains. Stef is all brains and no personality.

Also while splitting the carries between Chubb and Hunt is a big positive for our team, it’s gonna wreck my fantasy football season.Yeah, Takitaki looks to be a career special teamer.
The problem is that Sunday’s linebackers were both unathletic and without brains. Since there’s no brains sitting on the sidelines or on the IR, I’ll settle for a big dumb guy who is at least fast enough to get to the spots he’s supposed to be.
Takitaki has concrete shoes, and at least twice his blitz did nothing but give Jackson an opening for a big pass.

September 16, 2020 at 8:57 am #19301IceKeymasterI forgot one glaring Game Ball. For the first time in recorded history I’m giving a game ball to….
THE REFS. They stayed the F out of the game and didn’t make any glaring mistakes. There’s been talk that the NFL told the refs to ‘take it easy’ in week 1 because of the lack of preseason. If that’s the case then lets put them all in tacky Hawaiian shirts and put a margarita in their hand and let them ‘take it easy’ for the rest of the season.

There were a couple incidents of holding against our receivers which went uncalled, but they let a couple push-offs happen as well. I’m fine with letting both go, ad long as it’s even.
