ParticipantFor the officials, I agree about the PI call on Brown. I said he should win an oscar for playing it up and making sure he got the call, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right call.
However, I wouldn’t give the officials a game ball strictly because they didn’t call a personal foul on Roethlisberger when he flopped and then jumped on Ogbah and twisted his ankle. Unsportsmanlike conduct in every sense of the word.
Hue I give a goat, because while he stuck with the run game in the first half, he got away from it in the 3rd when things were starting to actually open up. He did actually go back to it a little, but way to many shotgun plays were called. They may have been to ease Kizer in, but I wasn’t impressed.

ShooterModeratorGame Ball: Soup
For actually being able to still use a keyboard after going into a forhead-vein-busting, rage-induced tirade that removed all aspects of objectivity and reality. At this point I’m pretty sure he’s ramming each key not only through his dining room table but straight down into the basement. That he can still use the internet, I give him a fucking game ball.
Goat. Soup.
For typing.

Gregg Williams – With the exception of A. Brown his defense dominated the Steelers offense. Complete domination. Ben was so pissed off during the game I thought he was gonna rape a ball boy.
D-Line – Only 1 sack but tons of pressure on Ben and also held the Steelers to pathetic 44 yards rushing.
Jabril Peppers – Played outfield the whole game as a rookie and never let anyone get by him. Also was visibly pissed that they kept kicking touchbacks. Mark my words, this guy is going to take over a game or 2 this season.
O-line – Yeah we took 7 sacks but those were not protection issues for the most part. They held up well against a normally dominant defense.
Kizer – That game completely changed my outlook on him. I can see now that he earned the starting role. He played with far more control than I expected. Yeah he’s got a long way to go but shoot if he improves from there then we may actually have a QB. It was nice to see receivers OVERTHROWN on deep outs rather than having to stop, turn around, wait for the duck to land, then try and tackle the defender who ended up with it. Those overthrows will go away when his nerves do.
Mike Tomlin – 13 Steelers penalties for 144 yards. Nice coaching there Mike! Compare that to only 4 penalties on us.
Goats
Soup – for not sticking to his ‘no gameballs in a loss’ mantra. Also I only read half your post since you only watched half the game.September 12, 2017 at 9:31 am #9408
soupParticipantSo the pass D gets praise for a QB:
66.6% 7.3 YPA 2 TDs 1 int and a 95 rating.
You guys have an interesting view point on great defense.
We had exactly 1 sack and 1 QB hit. And you call that pressure?
Wow. The bar is low around here.

Wow. The bar is low around here.Your post contained 51 words, but only 7 of those words were numbers. That’s less than 14% of your post which was actually factual. No where in your reply did you use the word “football” so we can’t even be sure your reply was on topic. I think it’s safe to say that’s the worst reply in the history of the world.
All of that can be known by looking at the stats of your post without even reading the content, which is how you seem to ‘watch’ football. You see, I have the advantage of having actually watched the game. I feel the other fans who watched the game would also agree with my assessment. You can cherry pick stats to try to sell your own brand of stupid but I don’t think anyone else is buying.

soupParticipantI did watch the game. I recorded it and watched the 2nd half yesterday. Ben had all day. On many plays. Including 6 full seconds on his final throw.
Not sure which game you watched.

IceKeymasterI watched the one that had Ben cursing out his receivers, the Pitt HC cursing out the OC, the one where we held them to 41 yards rushing, defense only allowed 14 points, and if not for a fluke blocked punt TD we would have won.
