Goats:
Denzel Ward for dropping a pick 6 [\sarcasm]
Game balls:
Gregg Williams HEAD COACH – No debate this team was well prepared and came to play.
Gregg Williams DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Atlanta #10 offense in the NFL at 412 YPG and also 28 PPG.
Held to 16 points. 382 yards and 5 for 14 on 3rd down. Stellar performance. This is what I expect against a great offense. Not last weeks no show.
Baker Mayfield – 17-20 with 3 TDS and over 10 YPA
Nick Chubb – 209 yards from scrimmage and 2 TDS. 176 yards rushing
This is when we turn the corner. Own the game from the start

November 11, 2018 at 4:42 pm #14286DawgPoundDudeParticipantGame ball to the defensive QB…you can tell this team plays much smarter when Joe Schobert is in the game. Definitely a game ball.
TJ Carrie was in shutdown mode. Game ball for him, too.
Kitchens had a hell of a game plan, and minus the silly high school trick play that failed miserably (and gave ATL a touchdown), he called a hell of a game. Game ball goes to anti-Haley.
Jimmy Haslam gets one for firing Hue and Haley. Maybe two.
And Baker Mayfield gets a game ball for leading this team the way he does. John Dorsey does too for being smart enough to take him first overall.
November 11, 2018 at 4:57 pm #14287Dawg E. DawgParticipantThat was the best complete game a Browns team has played in years. YEARS. At the end of the game, the only doubt left was whether Baker or Chubb would win rookie of the week.
I’m linking what I’m seeing out of Kitchens. He seems to realize something Hue and Haley could never quite wrap their heads around: Duke Johnson is a playmaker. Get him the ball. It’s not that hard. Screens, draws, slants, just get him the damn ball.
Also, this offense goes through it’s RBs. Haley never embraced that, and it cost him. When your best players are RBs, just use them. Love it.
Also also, I keep saying it, but don’t underestimate the importance of getting Higgins back. With him on the field, Baker looks comfortable and in control.
November 11, 2018 at 5:03 pm #14288IceKeymasterIf this team plays like this going forward (even if they don’t win every game) you’re gonna have a hard time convincing me not to keep the current coaching staff intact.
November 11, 2018 at 5:23 pm #14289MDP Sack AttackParticipantGameball to our front seven. The Falcons’ gameplan was clearly to take Garrett out of the game with shifts and extra blockers, and the rest of our dudes took advantage. Our next opponents will have to think twice about it.

Awesome.
He also said he woke up this morning feeling dangerous.
November 11, 2018 at 5:46 pm #14294IceKeymasterAlso does anyone have a gif of Matty Ryan throwing a hissy fit after he failed on 4th down? That was quality.
November 11, 2018 at 9:36 pm #14297soupParticipantRandom pointless fact of this football weekend. Mayfield, Big Ben and Drew Brees combined to go 61-70 with 11 TDS and 0 ints.
All three each had 3 incompletions.
That’s insane.
Mayfield under Kitchens – 74% completions 5 TDS and 1 int
Offense has 7 TDS in 2 games under his direction. He was also assistant HC to take him from AZ.
He’s making a hell of a cas for HC consideration. At minimum to take the reigns at OC if he keeps this up

November 12, 2018 at 8:05 am #14304mike barnesParticipantGame balls 1. coach Williams night and day difference in how this team looks less penalties more focused tougher well done
2. Coach Kitchens has something going with Baker and the rest of the offense less predictable and fun to watch.
3. Baker Mayfield woo what a game this kid looks like the #1 pick he should lead this team for a decade.
4. Chubb Carlos who? yea the GM made the right call his toughness and burst are something to behold.5. The receiving corps all of them look much better as of late
6. The defense yes as a whole they played lights out and kept a really good offense off balance all day.
Goats can’t think of any on Sunday and that’s a great feeling.
November 12, 2018 at 8:44 am #14307the dudeParticipantWent to the game yesterday….
Gameball to the fans… Man was it loud yesterday.
Seriously, Carrie deserves the Gameball yesterday. I am still trying to process some of the passes that Matt Ryan threw to Julio Jones. There were two passes when Ryan threw them that I was like who the hell is he throwing to and Jones literally appeared out of thin air. Carrie was there to make both tackles. Even though Jones made some catches, he had very little YAC.
Also, big game for the o line. Those holes they made for chubb were huge. Not taking away his elusive runs at all…. But seriously, it was nice to see such a push up front.
Great game yesterday….
Last time I saw us beat the falcons in person, we made the playoffs.

“Run William Run!!!!”
Speaking of calls…………I dunno if you guys heard Jim Donovans call of Nick Chubbs 92-yarder. I love Donovan. Love his enthusiasm, love his professionalism, think the guy is the best of the best. But wow, his call on Chubbs TD was really bad. Then when I listened to it again it was just cringe-inducing. Easily the worst call of his entire stellar career, and I’m willing to bet he’d want that one back.

I’m jealous. But I could definitely tell how loud it was on TV. Commented on it a few times in chat. The fans were doing their job well.
November 12, 2018 at 10:39 am #14318ShooterModeratorThe call was fine. It was the end. Where he just seemed to lose it and had absolutely no idea what to say so he just screamed “Chubba Wubba Hub!”. Whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean lol.

November 15, 2018 at 4:57 am #14381BrownsFan4LifeParticipantBaker has learned the art of the checkdown and keeping drives alive.
Williams has team playing well
Kitchens seems to have offense playing with confidence
Chubb’s 92 yarder was a franchise record. Loved Calloway downfield pointing for Chubb to go inside.
Glad we actually kicked the extra points this week and scored 28 points.
Defense played a great game overall but still give up too many yards IMO. Yeah it’s not picky.
