I’m done with this regime. I’m not calling for their heads because I don’t care enough anymore, but I’m just done. They continue to do the same dumb shit week after week, and they get blown out doing it. Why is Peppers lined up 34883 yards off the ball. Why do we pass exclusively out of shotgun? Free rushers to the qb are a weekly occurrence. It’s just insane.
The FO I’m equally done with. I said it before he draft: they needed to get 1 of he top 3 qb prospects. Needed to. They didn’t. They went with Kizer at a discount, and now we’ve seen why he came so cheap.
This is tough for me, because I’m a big proponent of the trade down and acquire picks philosophy, but in a division that is more winnable than it has been in years, were further away than ever. What a joke.
I’m starting to wonder if Haslam isn’t trying to move the team, because that’s about the only explanation that would actually make sense.
So soup gives a pass to 2 int’s from hogan because of terrible wr not coming back to the ball.

What was the great hogans rating today? c’mon soup…tell us about his completion percentage….like you bashed the only other qb on this team. Tell us how charlie frye’s third string back up hogan was the elite of the elite today but his wide outs screwed up.
tell us how duke johnson is the greatest thing we have ever had….even though his td’s and runs have been in garbage time. tell us how running the ball 30 times a game will take garbage hogan to the super bowl.

I put very little on Peppers himself. I honestly have no idea what it is they’re doing with him. Lining him up 60 yards off the ball is…………I just don’t know what that is. I thought against the Steelers they were trying to employ some sort of tactic, and to be fair it seemed to work, but it’s week 6 and it’s way past clear whatever they are doing is horribly ineffective.
It’s so ridiculous that when we’re on defense I think we’re lining up to receive a punt.

You took Peppers in the 1st round as a STRONG SAFETY because of his ability to rove around and make plays on defense or at the line. Putting him 25 yards back is like putting Joe Thomas at WR. On top of that it means every play we’re basically only playing with 10 guys on defense.
Gregg Williams thinks he is Ed Reed which he clearly isn’t…. Hope Gregg reads this post.

Peppers:
His role in the TD was to cover HALF the field. 2 safeties were back. Ball was snapped he went to the center of the field. That means he went to the very edge of his coverage. It’s simple math (and if you watch football it obvious as all safeties in that coverage do it) he should’ve dropped to the middle of HIS half. Had he done that he has a chance to make a play. That’s why he’s the goat yesterday.
As for the rest, you were warned about Williams. He’s not a good DC. game planning is simple against us. By virtue of where the safety lines up TE will run free all day. It’s a terrible scheme
And as for it working week 1, the more he plays, Been is no longer Been. He’s having a terrible unlike hm year.
