this guy needs to go to rehab for 3 months to save his life. he cannot stay clean for money and fame, then the issue is more deeper and will never be solved until he decides to change his life.
as far as I am concern the Browns need to part ways with him. If you cannot be responsible enough to the place you work and he has been given plenty of opportunity, then he needs to hit rock bottom. As a fan, I do not want to see him on the field ever again.
Hue Jackson is a loser.
I also want absolutely nothing to do with him, but I don’t think we should outright release him or trade him YET. IIRC he still has 2 years remaining on his rookie deal. His value is at its lowest point from a trade point of view. I’d squat on his rights this year and trade him before next season when his value is higher.
I don’t want to see Gordon in a Browns uniform unless he dramatically changes his tune and seeks real help. The guy is still in denial…which means he hasn’t hit ‘his rock bottom.’ Football isn’t his measuring stick either.
The pragmatist in me agrees with Ice. The idealist wants Gordon to change. The realist thinks he needs to be cut.
As long as he is not able to negatively impact the team, I say hold onto him (ala Ice) because his value is about as low as it goes. Another team is going to take a crack at him once his suspension passes. Why not hold his rights for a while longer.
