“We need to first look at that position and see who’s on our roster … and then see can they can help us win,” he told ESPN’s Mike & Mike. “And if they can’t we need to go out and acquire a quarterback, regardless of where it is.

“[Whether it’s pick No. 2], 32, wherever we think the best fit for us [is] and put somebody on this team that we can rally around as obviously as coaches and players that we truly believe can win for us.”

So he is open to taken a non Qb at 2 or trading down or waiting till #32. Well at least that’s what I got from it. About a 100 days or so to the drafty. Gonna be an interesting off season gents.

Geoff, Lynch or Weintz all that matters is picking the right one and moving on from the mighty midget.

I hate to see us overdraft a QB but missing on QB’s is the single biggest factor in our last 17 years of terrible football. Whether we draft a QB at 2, or 32, or 132 we just need to get it right.

The biggest thing I took from the Jackson press conference is that he’s going to hold all his players accountable for their actions on and off the field – which to me translates into “Goodbye Johnny Manziel and Justin Gilbert“.

Jackson knows exactly what he’s looking for in a quarterback. Given the fact that none of these QB’s coming out is anywhere near a finished product, he and his staff need to determine which of these kids is going to develop into an upper tier QB at the NFL level.

One thing we know for certain Unless Tennessee trades down, the Browns can have their pick of the QB litter at #2; provided they deem that one of them is worthy of the pick. Like Ice, I’m definitely not in favor of reaching for (or in his words, “overdraft”) a QB at #2 in spite of the team’s dire need at the position. However, if this staff determines that one if worthy of the pick, then by all means take the kid and get him some weapons.

I’m currently going over all the footage I can find of the QB’s available, and will have more to say on this subject as we get closer to the draft. I’ve seen limited footage of Paxton Lynch and Carson Wentz, and I’m currently taking a very close at California’s Jared Goff. Again, I’ll have more to say on this later; but I wanted to let you guys know that Wunkle is hot on evaluating this position.

Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

The Browns have taken every conceivable direction at QB except for up, so a new direction has to be a good thing.

    Josh McCown is the future!

    Hue Jackson is a loser.
