The Browns throw an entire fleet of brinks trucks at Kirk Cousins and sign him to a long term deal that has an opt out after 3 years.
In the draft they take Saquan Barkley #1 overall and Minkah Fitzpatrick at #4.
How do you feel about this?
February 22, 2018 at 7:25 pm #11095DawgSoldierParticipantCousins IMO is the type of QB you need a SUPERB running game and Defense around. As he isn’t going to be able to put a team on his back and win thru the season and into the playoffs. He’ll just do his part and not lose games for you.

February 22, 2018 at 10:51 pm #11098Dawg E. DawgParticipantI’m not in love with the idea of paying cousins what he will get, but the guy did threw for 4900 yards in 2016. That’s 800 yards more than ANY Browns qb has EVER thrown for in a season. In fact, he has 2 seasons under his belt where he’s thrown for more yards than any Browns qb, ever. And everybody just wants to dismiss him like he’s nothing.
In 2016, he was set up for failure as the redskins let his two top receiver go. Not one, but TW0 1000+ yard receivers. And he still topped 4000 yards.
So while I’m not in love with it, I’m not gonna lose my mind if the Browns sign cousins. But Barkley at 1? I just can’t justify a RB at 1 overall in today’s league. I just can’t do it.

It’s so funny that people think Cleveland will do anything in free agency. This shitty 0-16 couldn’t attract one of shooters stds if it wanted too.
Hypothetically, if the clowns could trade for cousins….. I think he just retires on the spot.
Hue Jackson is a loser.
February 23, 2018 at 3:38 pm #11104DawgPoundDudeParticipantI agree with both DawgSoldier and Dawg E…to a certain extent. The part where I disagree is…Barkley. This kid is uber-talented. Like, forget generational talent, this could well be once-in-a-lifetime talent. If talent and talent were to get married and have a kid, they would name him Saquon Barkley. Zeke Elliot? Leonard Fournette? They’re gonna wish they have half the career Barkley does. Could be wrong due to injury or whatever, but I haven’t seen running like his since Barry Sanders. Other than Jim Brown, that’s the highest praise I can offer.
If we took #1 overall, I would absolutely be fine with it, with or without Cousins. Or Brady Quinn. Or…well, you get the picture.

Agreed. I’m not Jim Browning or Barry Sandersing him, but he’s a beast/stud/gamewrecker for sure.

You have no clue what you’re talking about.
Hypothetically, if the clowns could trade for cousins…..
Case in point.
We don’t trade for cousins you dolt, he’s a free agent. He’d sign here of his own volition.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. Please go do something.
