How does a team play football without a QB? We’ve seen emergency QB’s before, but never on a team with a couple days to prepare for an entire game with an emergency QB. And how would you play them? Take a CB out and put an extra safety in? Replace a coverage LB with a runstopper? It’s gonna be interesting.

“The NFL reportedly denied a request by the Denver Broncos to sign offensive quality control coach Rob Calabrese to their active roster for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Broncos felt Calabrese would have given them their best chance to field a quarterback who is ready to play Sunday. Practice squad receiver Kendall Hinton, who served as a backup quarterback at Wake Forest, is expected to start under center with the Broncos not having an eligible quarterback on their roster”
In 20 years of ineptitude (and I don’t mean the Broncos are inept for this, as obviously the pandemic is out of their control), the Browns have never been in “our best chance to win is starting a coach who last played QB at Central Florida right years ago”.

Hue Jackson is a loser.
November 29, 2020 at 6:28 pm #19885IceKeymasterIt’s not on in my area. I wanted to see some real innovation on offense. All kinds of direct snaps, pistols, wildcat formations etc. Soudns like they just got some scrub to play QB and ran their normal offense.

I mean it’s not like they had much time…. I like the dolphins team that did a bunch of this shit. Very creative.

Would have been nice to see some creative playcalling, but given the timeframe that probably would have gone even worse. Plus, it’s been pretty well shown that teams now have foolproof defenses for the Wildcat.
