The jets fired Head coach Adam Gase as expected after their week 17 loss to the New England Patroits.

And the best part is, we know Kevin Stefanski won’t be added to the heap tomorrow. Even better, one of Berry’s assistants is being interviews for a GM opening. Unbelievable turn around.

Doug Marrone shown the door in Jax.

Gotta love when head coaches are set up for failure, achieve failure, and are fired for it.

The Jags not only have the first overall pick, they also have a first rounder obtained from the Rams. They have plenty of cap space and great weather. Not a bad job to have.

But their owner is trying to move them to England and Jacksonville is the armpit of Florida. They won’t attract a quality coach unless they really knock it out of the park at GM.

Chargers fire Anthony Lynn and that is definitely a really great job opportunity.

While the organization isn’t great, they have a damn good young QB.

As far as the Jaguars moving, their lease runs through 2027 so a head coach hired now really doesn’t have to worry about that.

And Modells Municipal lease was through 2000. The lease is meaningless

The problem with the Chargers is Spanos. They can have a good QB and just refuse to pay anyone around him like they did with Rivers. On almost any other team Rivers’ career would have included a ring. That’s why Eli refused to go there.

The lease ran for 25 years. From 1973-1997. So yeah he broke the lease early and as part of an agreement, we kept the name, records and team colors. So definitely agree that the lease isn’t really as important as some would like to think.

I did hear that he wants to buy Wimbley Stadium in London though so who knows. I have lived in both Jacksonville and London and prefer Jacksonville but I enjoyed my two years in London.

I keep seeing John Spytek popping up as a GM candidate, and I’d completely forgotten about the most badass name ever in our front office.

I’ve heard one of Soups favorite OCs (Brian Daboll) mentioned in connection with the Jets.

I think Jax has some appeal. I haven’t been there, so I can’t speak about the city itself, but working for a good GM–a guy like Rick Smith–and the chance to coach Trevor Lawrence might be tough to turn down.

On Kahn, I agree. Before the outbreak, they were planning on playing two “home” games a year in London and he did try to buy Wembly Stadium.

Rumors are flying about Urban Meyer going to the Jags, but who knows?

They haven’t gotten lucky with a front office yet, but the Khans are great owners, their team has the #1 pick, and it strikes me as an ideal opportunity for a GM and a coach.
