I posted the video in the Baker has Changed thread and an outing it here too. Kurt Warner’s breakdown of half one plus my own overall less emotion driven input.
As you can see from this video it’s more of the same in regards to the team as a whole. The little issues are built up and compound and haven’t been addressed as it’s week 12 and still happening.
When you watch the video you see:
1. Players killing drives by not catching the ball.
2. Sloppy route running/communications
3. Bad play calls that give 1 to 2 options for throwing.
4. Off footwork on the QB
5. Bad turnovers in terms of fumbles at really bad times.
People talk about how important it is to get in rhythm. Dropped passes and fumbles are preventing that. Bad play calls like the Landry at QB play that gave him 2 options to throw to.
Penalties. We are 4th in the NFL with 85 penalties. 3rd in the NFL with 771 penalty yards. We lead the league in presnap penalties.
In football the devil is in the details. You have to be precise. Fundamentals are completely lacking and that’s a top down issue.
My distaste for Stefanski is well known. When you look at the problems this team has, it’s all coachable. If this staff would stop looking at the overall picture and start delegating duties to clean up the little things a run can still be made. Look at it this way.
Steelers: 6 dropped passes and a WR fumble combines with a bad route by OBJ. 5 penalties for 30 yards including a first down We lost by 5.
Ravens: 6 dropped passes, fumble by a WR and a QB. 5 penalties for 45 yards including a penalty in 4th and 2. Overall 4 first downs for Ravens via penalty. Lost by 6.
If the little things had been focused on, that’s the difference of 6-6 and 1-2 in the division compared to 8-4 and 3-0 in the division.
If Stefanski turned over play calling like he should he could see the big picture and clean up the little things.
Freedom!!!

We aren’t a team that can make a ton of mistakes and win. We will be adding more talent next year and in theory, the schedule should be easier unless we win out. LOL.
