Participant…and the asking price is reportedly TWO first-rounders.
Would you?
My answer: maybe a one and no higher than a three. Beyond that, hell no.

KeymasterNope.

ParticipantNo. No. And no.
Freedom!!!

ParticipantUndoubtedly a great player…but I think our defense is fine without him. Better to invest in some O-line depth.
Still, we’d be the defensive terror of the league if we had him.

ModeratorNot a chance. It’s 2 first rounders and the biggest contract for a defensive player in NFL history.
Pass.

Pass.If it were Aaron Donald, I’d give it serious consideration. But, at Mack’s position, I don’t think he gives us enough of a step up over the guys we currently have to justify the cost.

KeymasterExactly Dawg E Dawg. While Mack would be at the top of our chart, we’ve got some really good pass rushers and don’t need to spend that much to add another one.

Pass. And Donald just signed a six-year, 135 million dollar deal with the Rams. Imagine what Mack’s going to want now.
No thanks.

ParticipantIf we signed him, he would just fuck up anyways and never see the field.
Hue Jackson is a loser.

ParticipantI wouldn’t put too much stock in that. One of those national reporter’s clearly reads BFT and blew it out of proportion.

ParticipantThey’re now reporting the Bears are expected to trade for him. All good to me. Get him out of the AFC. Browns don’t make a dumb mistake.

Yeah, at most I could see that Dorsey asked for a price, then laughed when they told him what it was. The interest in him coming here was likely mild, at best. Overblown reporting at it’s finest.
Still, if the trade happens, the Bears are gonna have one hell of a defense. And about 3 draft picks over the next ten years. 😛

ModeratorAs I said, largest deal in NFL history. (Fora defensive player).
6 years 141 million. 90 million guranteed, 60 million signing bonus.
To get him, they gave up 2 first rounders, a 3rd and a 6th.
Absurd.
