We signed two tackles today. One is a special teams and depth guy, but signing Chris Hubbard to a 5yr/$37.5m contract says he’s starting. Either they’re replacing Coleman on the right side or he is our new guy for the future.
Really, can’t go too wrong either way by signing him. Not a bad contingency plan, all things considered.
I mean, let’s face it…one doesn’t replace Joe Thomas. The best you can hope for is plugging a guy in with the hope that he can be half as good.
Still, if we can get one or two more years out of JT, we might finally have a shot (albeit slim) of doing something this season.
Hubbard has played mostly right tackle and right guard but was highly reguarded in pukeburgh
