KeymasterPaxton Lynch’s stock is about to go up. Not in the eyes of actual NFL scouts, but in the eyes of the media. The reason I’m saying that is because more than one actual NFL scout has him rated as the top QB available. The media is just playing catch-up.
His strengths are his tremendous arm strength, great touch on screens, very good feet, and his 6’7″ 245lb frame. Scouts compare him to Big Jen with much much better feet.February 24, 2016 at 6:31 pm #4241DawgPoundDude
ParticipantPreparing for 17 reasons why he’s so terrible. Seems like most here have their horses picked. I’m actually gonna watch some video on these folks and see what the hype is all about, and see if any receivers are bailing them out, footwork, stare downs, etc…screw those draft guys.

ParticipantAthletically Lynch is the best QB to come along since Cam Newton.
Schematically he ran a HS Air Raid offence that had training wheels.
I have no idea of what kind of person the kid is or how smart he is or isn’t as I haven’t run across many Lynch centric articles.
Irregardless Lynch is just as ill prepared as manziel was possibly more so. As the came from the same kind of offence.

Manziel was put in a dumbed-down offense because it did not require him to study a playbook and fit with his lack of work ethic. Lynch mastered the offense he was stuck with through hard work. Does that offense exist at any level in the NFL? No. Is it plausible that Lynch will learn an NFL offense better than Manziel because he’ll actually pick up his playbook (besides just photo ops on social media)? Yes.

ParticipantWith all the Physical knocks coming out about Goff and some evaluators having all 3 close. I wouldn’t be surprised if ended up Wentz, Lynch then Goff. Which may be a product og Goff FALLING than Lynch rising though it amounts to the same thing.

Participant. Paxton Lynch’s medical exams red-flagged a few issues from past injuries.
Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Christian Hackenberg and most of the other quarterbacks interviewed with the media on Thursday, but Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch wasn’t able to make it until Friday due to his lengthy stay with the medical staff.
While not considered serious, Lynch had an issue with his left knee, right knee and with his AC joint, all from past injuries. He suffered a small fracture in his clavicle that healed, but his X-rays at the Combine revealed pieces of bone floating near the injury. It “spooked” a few teams according to Lynch, but he isn’t concerned.
“I didn’t miss a game or a practice or a single throw because of it and none of those injuries bother me today,” Lynch said. “I’m 100-percent, so I was more than willing to do what they need me to do.”
Although Wentz and Goff are widely mentioned as the top two quarterback prospects, Lynch seems unfazed by that and looks forward to throwing alongside the other passers on Saturday.
“There’s always something there to put a chip on your shoulder and drive yourself to work even harder,” Lynch said. “That’s how it’s been for me since I came out of high school.
“I’m going to approach it like I always have. I’m just going to keep my head down, worry about myself and go to work.”

ParticipantWhen it comes to our beloved Brownies, it appears that – if they use the #2 pick on a QB – it’s still a two-man race between Goff and Wentz. Goff appears to be the more polished of the two where Wentz appears to have the higher ceiling. FYI: Wentz has been killing it during his combine interviews. Goff comes off as if he’s a little cocky or edgy. That could be a good thing as well. I’ve already stated my preference, so there’s no need in rehashing old stuff. The thing is, I cannot imagine a scenario where Paxton Lynch is the second overall pick.
Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

Generally speaking – if someone has a lower floor – their ceiling will be “higher” in that it’ll take longer to get there (if at all for either of them). The ceiling is the same – that ceiling is Super Bowl Champ.
I’ve never understood the higher ceiling argument (I understand that some people are more talented than others hence the 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc – round grades).
