2 great drives to start the game and 1 drive late to seal it surrounding 2 1/2 horrible quarters of football for the offense. 2 more fumbles didn’t help either although we did recover both.

Im not shocked that Pettine said McCown will start but something tells me that his leash will be shorter.

Well if McCown plays like he did against the Jets, he won’t be in there very long. I am not sure he didn’t get a concussion from a couple plays before the hit in the end zone.

Every time he runs the ball – which is very awkward, I wonder how bad he is going to get smoked.

McCown definitely plays like a guy who is on his last leg in the NFL.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

Hopefully the brass knows what their doing, Johnny showed marked improvement from where he was last season yet he still has a long way to go before he’s a reliable starter I worry when ever he’s about to take a hit and he’s holding the ball he seems to cough it up.

Smart move. They finally made an intelligent decision. Kid still doesn’t know what a progression is.

Am I going nuts or did @soup just compliment the staff?

Keep in mind he complimented the staff for starting McCown. You know..Josh McCown. I might contend that signing Josh McCown as our starter wasn’t a smart move to begin with…thus, this decision wasn’t smart..just a continuation of a poor decision.

Unfortunately, I feel we need to really see what we have in Manziel. The only reason I would be ok with leaving that unanswered is if we win….and by win, I mean playoffs. To me, McCown means winning record or else it really was a poor decision to put him in the starting role. 8-8, 7-9, or worse and we should have started Manziel for at least 6 games. There’s still time, but right now, it is clear, we are trying to win…..with McCown.
