What I take from it is this: it’s OTAs. It’s spring. A time for hope.
And most likely meaningless until the pads go on. Because as it stands, all the QB play hasn’t come close to the overall play of the defense…which has been described as “swarming”.
Again, these things are all difficult to gague without pads. Still, if Osweiler made strides ahead of everyone else and has become a better QB than before, great. He may have been a square peg in a round hole in Houston, and a change of scenery might be exactly what he needed. And I really hope that’s the case.
But we’ve heard this story before. So…I won’t be convinced unless it’s on a Sunday in September.
I certainly won’t be either.
I’d also like to point out that this is just Daryl’s opinion, but, I’ll take the word of Ruiter over that of Mary K, Tony Grossi, or Pat Macmanamon, for what it’s worth.

He can be lol. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a great dude, but he can be overly defensive about perceived slights. He took a lot of shit from a lot of people as he was coming up, so now he has a bit of a hip-shooter edge to him. He goes from affable to “you don’t think I know what I’m talking about? Fuck you” in zero seconds.

I’ll be shocked if Kizer isn’t starting week 1. They have to find out if he’s any good before next draft. I do that think there’s a competition at all. I think it’s a fake one with full intentions to start Kizer week 1.
That said, I will be missing game 1. Willie Nelson Outlaw Roadshow. I finally get to see Van Morrison live!
