On Outside the Lines. Here’s the most important part of the linked article which is absolute proof Rudolph said it:

“ NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said the league ’found no such evidence’ that a racial slur was used, and a league source told cleveland.com that the NFL had no recorded on-field audio in making that determination.”

The NFL has field audio from every NFL game. That’s a fact. The above mixed with the fact they won’t release any audio is surefire proof he said it.

Absolutely. Go watch and XFL game and all the audio they have from WEEK ONE, then come back and tell me the NFL doesn’t have any field audio.

“NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said the league ’found no such evidence’ that a racial slur was used, and a league source told cleveland.com that the NFL had no recorded on-field audio in making that determination.”

That statement was clearly written by a lawyer with the goal of completely avoiding saying whether the slur was said or not. IMO the NFL is playing it smart here because if they release the audio and prove one of the players right, the one who is proven wrong will be a pariah for the rest of their life. It will also be a black eye on the sport either way. Better for the league to just claim ignorance.

Bullshit it’s better. They need to stop their lying and say what they know. Mason Rudolph was mic’d during that game. They know what he said and if he said it.

I don’t give a shit if it ruins someone’s career or makes them a pariah, it should. If Rudolph said it then everyone should know he’s a piece of shit AND a liar. If he didn’t, everyone should know that Myles Garret is a piece of shit for contriving this bullshit excuse to justify doing something egregious and indefensible. Either way, someones career is going to immediately be over, and rightfully so. But to have this thing just linger around forever looks a hell of a lot worse for the league than to be forthcoming. It’s never going to go away. It will always be a talking point at least twice a year and probably more. People are always going to be questioning the integrity and character of both of these guys for years and years and years, and in the case of one of them completely unfairly.

That’s not better for the league. That’s not better for anyone. What’s good for everyone is to knock off the bullshit, quit compounding one of these guys outrageous lie with another equally large lie, and tell the world what they know. What we know that they know.

Whoever is right in this situation absolutely deserves to have the league come out, stand up for them, and tell everyone that they are right. Whoever is wrong absolutely deserves to be cast into the abyss.

It’s absolute bullshit that the league will not address this other than with a weak ass lie that everyone knows damn well IS a lie. That evidence may not exist anymore, but there was a time when it did. People heard it. That’s a fact.

Garrett has no reason to lie about it. It doesn’t absolve him in any way.
The NFL coverup doesn’t shock me at all. Even if Rudolph said it (I think he did), it doesn’t make him racist but raises issues that the NFL wants no part of.
They already have a race issue as far as Head Coaches and General Managers go and they don’t want players involved, which they are.
There will be a day when Garrett’s story of even is actually confirmed by someone who heard it but as of right now has denied it. Players don’t want to be involved in scandals which could affect their career.

The most disturbing portion of this is the more I’ve read:

The league did NOT use audio in their investigation. They used camera angles and on field witnesses.

That’s like investigating a robbery of an unmasked guy staring into an HD camera and not looking at the video
