Pretty harsh. “We don’t believe the organization is positioned well for the future.” That’s about as damning of a statement he can make.
Go ahead, blow it up. Pettine’s biggest mistake was making his best friend his defensive coordinator and not taking over the defense as they sucked throughout the entire season. Farmer’s biggest mistakes are well known. Changes need to be made, I get it. Just don’t go preaching to us about stability until you find the right crew. And let them find their own QB. If they want Manziel they can have him, but if they want to trade him that should be fine too. There is no reason at all to hamstring the next staff with any of the mistakes of the group that was just fired.
