MDP Sack AttackParticipantDefinitely a sign that we’re switching blocking schemes to the Shanahan/Kubiak style of zone blocking.

IceKeymasterDo we have the horses for that? It requires blockers who are fast and effective at the 2nd level. Right now we’re built of big maulers. Tretter and Bitonio are really the only guys we need to build around. We don’t have a left tackle under contract.

It’s not like we had a LT on the roster this year anyway

Heavy investment in the OL this offseason seems a LIKELY & NEEDED occurence.

Well that’s the obvious and logical thought process, but it really all depends on what the algorithms in Billy Beancounters laptops say. If the linebacker from Nevada has a better tackling rate against rushes going to the left side of the field at home than anyone else in the country it might carry more weight than a lineman especially if it’s determined that next year more than likely more teams will be running to the left, and we also play home games.

Yeah but did you account for the left handed goalie on the 3rd hole of a par 6?
