I’ll tackle the points of this at another time, but for now all I’m going to say is I commend you, because it never goes that well when I talk to myself.

    Bull,

First things first: Sorry about your daughter. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be as a parent to watch your child endure so much while you remain powerless to help her. You (and she) will be in my thoughts. As someone who has had multiple back surgeries (including a fusion) and a MRSA staph infection, I am all too familiar with the challenges they are facing and I hope they both have a full and speedy recovery.

Secondly, and I’m not speaking for anyone but myself here, please lay off the politics. As a Libertarian whose had the piss beat out of me by both Democrats and Republicans this last election cycle, I’d prefer to focus on the things we both like (Cleveland Browns Football) than to attempt to like each other in spite of the things we don’t. There’s an old saying that advises us not to speak of politics, religion or money in polite company. I don’t want to see this place become “The Gutter”, and I hope that my recent interactions with DawgSoldier (whom I have neither ignored nor provoked) prove that even two people who have vehemently disagreed in the past can, at minimum, be civil now (a credit to him as much as to myself).

Much respect to you and great job on the football portion of your write up. I also applaud you not only for the concept, but for having the vulnerability to share your situation with your daughter with your readers. While I wish you didn’t have to experience such suffering, the eloquence with which you write about it will let others in similar situations know they are not alone.

    Best,

On your daughter Bil, you have my deepest sympathies and prayers.

On the politics stuff I agree with every thing you said Bill….but to dawgstyle’s point this might not be the place or the time.

To Dawstyle’s other point about his and I civil conversation. Maybe you just realized I wasn’t trying to be a dick when I said the Air Raid stuff just doesn’t transfer to the next level, and that’s a legit take do to the record of evidence…I have tried to make my arguments more fact based in that regard.

Bill I have this Qb class ranked like this

    1Trubisky 2Kizer & 3Mahomes.

Trubisky 1st because he IMO was a WCO version of the spread and from reports I read had total control of the offence including calling plays and audibling.

Kizer 2nd because he had por scheme eperiance and with some real coaching I think he could be something. I have a VERY low opinion of Kelly as a coach and I think he was more of a detriment to Kizer then a help.

Mahomes is a magician with what he can physically do with the football. He reminds me A LOT of Farve in that regard. His mechanics are horrible but he has the arm to negate poor mechanics in most situations…so… Dunno if that will fly at the next level as their will be a quantem leap in DB’ and defense going from the big 12 to the NFL. Also as i have stated MANY times the Air Raid scheme offers zero transference to the next level so that puts prospects in a development hole compared to others.

Kid is smart well liked and good guy from what read along with being very physically gifted. Can he be the exception that brakes the pattern? Folks thought RG3 And Manziel could with there physical talents ….so…..

Who ever drafts this kid will need to be incredibly patient IMO…I just don’t see this FO and staff doing that….but I could be wrong.

Okay, okay . . . perhaps politics isn’t the best topic for this site. Thanks for all your comments, suggestions, thoughts and prayers. Trust me when I say they’re very much appreciated.

As for the QB rankings, I’m still trying to formulate them in my own mind. Still not sure if any of these kids is worth a top ten pick. That, of course, will be a moot point if the Browns make a move for Jimmy Garoppolo. They’re not going to give up picks for a QB that’s going to ride the pines.

    I HAVE AN UPDATE . . .

For those of you who’ve expressed your thoughts, prayers and well wishes on behalf of my family in general and my daughter in particular; I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Those thoughts, prayers and well wishes have not fallen upon deaf ears, for my daughter has been healed of her myasthenia!

It happened a couple weekends ago. Our church’s Hispanic praise and worship team was scheduled to be in charge of the music for the services on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights plus Sunday morning for UPCI Hispanic Church Camp Meeting. During the Saturday evening service, Rev. Robert Sanders – in the middle of preaching a sermon – turned to look at my daughter right in the eyes and said, “I don’t know what sickness you’ve been dealing with, but from now on it’s gone. I curse that sickness in Jesus’ name.”

It’s been nearly two full weeks since that night. She hasn’t taken any of her daily meds and she’s getting stronger each day. God has given my daughter her miracle!!!

That’s fantastic news Bill! I hope everything continues to improve for her. Keep your chin up and keep the updates coming (as well as some of that Wunkle Wisdom you bring for our beloved Browns)!
