I’ve been wondering about this for a while; how do they enforce his suspension? What’s to stop him from teleconferencing from home, making roster moves via text messages, texting/emailing/mailing in scouting reports, etc? Is he basically just banned from the stadium and practice facilities? Or is there some sort of massive wiretapping and surveillance program in place?
As far as I understand, yes yes and yes. He is forbidden from the building. He is forbidden from communicating in any way with people working in the building. I don’t think they actively monitor the communications but if it is found out later that he broke those rules then he is up for additional punishment.
I believe if the NFL really looked at our ineptitude since 1999, the punishment would be for him to live at the facility.
Yes, Durakbane, my follow up question would have been “wasn’t signing McCown punishment enough?”
