    1. Bruce Arians hired keeps Kitchens as OC and AHC to groom for future.

    2. Mayfield and the offense light it up the rest of the year. Kitchens is our HC. Young and QB oriented.

    3. Williams finishes 7-1. Staff goes unchanged.

Gregg Williams is too weak bodied to keep coaching unless he gets his DNA changed.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

    4) we do very well for the rest of the season, both Williams and Kitchen get interviewed. Dorsey picks someone else whom he thinks is more qualified.

Define very well. (I agree unless we go 7-1)

Very good is relative, considering the past 2.5 years. I’d rate going 3-3 down the stretch as “very good”.

And I’d agree with that assessment.

Honestly though, Kitchens intrigues me. If the offense lights it up and Mayfield keeps putting up his numbers like this (75% 5TD 1 int in his two games) I think he’s that Mcveigh type. Young, not a splashy name. Highly QB friendly.

This coach hinges on Mayfield and relationship with him.

A former QB named Freddie “The Chef” Kitchens being named head coach of the Cleveland Browns feels scripted. It just fits too perfectly.

And Bob Wylie can be the OC. We know they’ll get along, cuz neither of those guys are having anything to do with with F’n stretching.

My hope is…That what ever happens that the Browns stay with schemes that fit their personel.

IE: Though I am a huge fan of the 1 gap 34 D for instance, IMO it would be dumb as hell to switch fronts/schemes.

    This times 300%.

This was exactly why I wasn’t in favor of the Williams hire, because we here changing defensive schemes AGAIN. And despite everybody saying our players would transition, we still ended up getting rid of Danny Shelton, Demario Davis, Jamie Meder, and Carl Nassib (among others) because they didn’t fit in a 4-3. Doin this just sets us back again and again.

I think Haley proved that some good coaches still can’t adapt their scheme to their roster. So, it’s important to get a coach that fits the roster we’re building so that we can keep moving forward.

Well I’m sure that whoever we hire will bring in all new assistants, with all new systems, which will require all new personnel, which will mean that all the players we’ve drafted and signed will be let go, so we’ll need to draft and sign new ones, and while that’s happening we’ll be losing horribly, and just when all those guys get the players we need JimBob Haslam will fire Dorsey, which will lead to a hunt for a new GM, who will bring in his own coach, who will bring in their assistants, who will have all new systems, which will require all new personnel, which will mean that all the players we’ve drafted and signed will be let go, so we’ll need to draft and sign new ones, and while that’s happening we’ll be losing horribly, Jimbob Haslam will fire everyone, which will lead to a hunt for a new GM, who will bring in his own coach, who will bring in their assistants, with all new systems, which will require all new personnel, which will mean that all the players we’ve drafted and signed will be let go, so we’ll need to draft and sign new ones, and while that’s happening we’ll be losing horribly, Jimbob Haslam will fire everyone, which will lead to a hunt for a new GM, who will bring in his own coach, who will bring in their assistants, who will have all new systems, with all new systems, which will require all new personnel, which will mean that all the players we’ve drafted and signed will be let go, so we’ll need to draft and sign new ones, and while that’s happening we’ll be losing horribly, Jimbob Haslam will fire everyone, which will lead to a hunt for a new GM, who will bring in his own coach, who will bring in their assistants, with all new systems, which will require all new personnel, which will mean that all the players we’ve drafted and signed will be let go, so we’ll need to draft and sign new ones, and while that’s happening we’ll be losing horribly, Jimbob Haslam will fire everyone, which will lead to a hunt for a new GM, who will bring in his own coach, who will bring in their assistants, who will have all new systems, with all new systems, which will require all new personnel, which will mean that all the players we’ve drafted and signed will be let go, so we’ll need to draft and sign new ones, and while that’s happening we’ll be losing horribly, Jimbob Haslam will fire everyone, which will lead to a hunt for a new GM, who will bring in his own coach, who will bring in their assistants, with all new systems, which will require all new personnel, which will mean that all the players we’ve drafted and signed will be let go, so we’ll need to draft and sign new ones, and while that’s happening we’ll be losing horribly, Jimbob Haslam will fire everyone, which will lead to a hunt for a new GM, who will bring in his own coach, who will bring in their assistants, with all new systems, which will require all new personnel, which will mean that all the players we’ve drafted and signed will be let go, so we’ll need to draft and sign new ones, and while that’s happening we’ll be losing horribly, Jimbob Haslam will fire everyone………………stop me when I’m wrong.

You miss one major element. Dorsey is the first GM we’ve had who understands matching players to coaching schemes. Have faith. Maybe Hue was right and we have the greatest turnaround in NFL history. Win out and get into the playoffs and win a Super Bowl with a rookie QB. Just solved the coaching issue.

Have faith in Dorsey. He get destroyed for taking Mayfield over Darnold/the awful Bills QB and for picking Ward over Chubb.

    How’d that turn out?

Get off the ledge @shooter. Dorsey knows his shit

What we need are coaches without huge egos that have nothing to prove. Coaches with big egos like Haley have their system, run their system, and they know their system works. If it isn’t working, it must be because of the players. Coaches without egos will figure out what their team does well, focus on it, and improve it.
