Mayfield is held together by duck tape at this point. There isn’t a part of him that isn’t hurting or broken. He needs a week or two off to get better or he’s just gonna keep struggling. Unfortunately the ratbirds are up next and we can’t afford to cut them any slack. So what do we do? Sit Baker and give him a nice 2 weeks to heal and sacrifice the Ravens game or push through?

I’d sit him for a few weeks. We really don’t have much of a chance with Baker in there in his condition. Rest him next Sunday and we’ll see where he is coming out of the bye week.

He’s playing. The rest should’ve been yesterday. If Stefanski would’ve realized running the ball is the smart play he wouldn’t be so beat up. Hopefully we run against the Rats and hopefully we send those corner blitzes that have been neutralizing Lamar assuming his lungs don’t explode from the infection

I also think Chubb was not 100% this week. He was pulled at some pretty inopportune times to take an extended breather. DeEarnest Johnson had a great game as a 1 time starter, but he’s not a replacement for Chubb. Luckily it looks like we’re getting Hunt back this week.

None of us know all the details about what Mayfield is fighting through but we do know that it’s a lot and it is definitely affecting his play. He can talk tough but having a broken humorous even in his non-throwing arm is gonna have a big effect on him. He’s tough, he’s fighting. At some point they made need to hide his helmet.

Correct, however Johnson only got 5 attempts. Absolutely silly sin that weather. To follow Det TD busy throwing 3 times was next level stupid.

It a little late to sit him now. He should have been sitting the last 3 weeks in prep for being healthy in ratsville.

That is really only part of the problem though.
