I just finished reading this great piece over at DBN. If you’re interested in some insight on this strange week, I recommend reading.
Good article. I specifically applaud the author for separating his opinion from fact, something @Soup could learn from.
Today the rumors are out that the coaches actually believe the front office sabotaged the trade on purpose. I know a lot of us already believe that, but if the coaches believe it then that is a HUGE problem.
That rift should be a chasm. Irreparable and damning.
Also, I’d like to note that Carson wentz is playing at an MVP caliber level now. The light has officially come on for him, and he’s tearing shit up.
This entire FO needs to be fired. All of them.
I don’t fault the FO for missing on Wentz. No one has looked more like Andy Dalton since Andy Dalton. Also I don’t fault the FO for not wanting to pull the trigger on a 2nd and a 3rd for AJ McCarron, because WTF. I DO fault them for making it look like a total fuckfest. If the owner orders you to make the trade (which he shouldn’t) then you make the trade. You don’t ‘accidentally’ fuck it up.
I also fault the FO for sitting on their fucking hands instead of calling every team in the league and turning over every single stone to make some sort of improvement to this team. The caliber of players that were available for relatively small investments makes me sick.
