So evidently John Dorsey said to Koby ALtman….Hold my beer son this how it is done!

Take a deep breathe. The off season is just beginning.

Browns acquire a top 5 NFL slot receiver. It appears to be the 123rd pick and next year’s 7th.
Browns acquire a pretty good bridge QB. He took a $10 million pay cut, when Buffalo resigned him for two years, last year. It looks like the Browns have him for one year?
Browns acquire a 1st round, 30th in a previous year CB. He was drafted in 2015. His story is not one of great success. He started 9 games in 2016 out of 10. The commentary on this player was – “Packers still holding out hope he can be a #1 corner, but must show it on field.” Lindy’s Pro Gootball 2017 Preview. Browns get him on his rookie contract and since he is 1st round pick, if he excels, they could get a fifth year?

    What did they give up.

    A. Fourth round pick and 7th round pick in 2019. Jarvis Landry might sign a long-term contract. Browns pay almost $16 million this year and could franchise him next year for about $19 million. If he never signs a long-term contract with the Cleveland Browns, they get a 3rd round compensatory pick. Hopefully, in two years they sign him long-term or sign another good slot receiver.

    B. 65th pick in the draft

    C. Deshone Kizer, plus some exchanges of draft picks.

This sounds like an accurate summary. But, there are questions, not sure all my short research is accurate. Takes care of some problems short term, which helps. Three players who could get extended contracts is viable.

Not a bad day at all Dorsey is certainly making a bold statement! and according to some reports one more trade is in the works.

Yeah, I gotta say, with all things considered, it was a helluva good day. We got a lot of good and gave up relatively little for it. It may or may not pan out, but it certainly shows that Dorsey has every intention of making us into a contender.

I’m 100% on board with these moves, and free agency hasn’t even begun!
