I think we win this game, but not just due to the monster that’s been in our pocket.

Defensively, the Falcons ain’t much. Our running game should net us between 150-200 yards, and let’s not forget the caged lion that just got released. With Gordon back, our play-action should be second to none (if utilized properly), we should see a few down-field strikes, and just a general sense of playing “our game”, where we feel in control. Defensively, if we can handle limiting Jones and getting some QB pressure, this won’t be much of a game at all. Even more so if Dansby makes it on the field. I expect good things…this game has a real good feel about it, you know? I think we clearly win this one.

Changing the subject a bit…who thinks Gordon can still manage 1000+ yards through these last 6 games? I wouldn’t put money on that but…I would be amazed, not surprised. Still, I think he falls short, yet still gets to the Pro Bowl.

I believe Gordon is ineligible for the pro-bowl due to games played/suspension. Though I could be wrong.

As for 1,000 yards. It’s going to be close. I see him with around 175 this game. He’s angry at the league. Hoyer FINALLY has a true weapon and the opposition must account for him. This opens up the run – which in turn makes them bite hard on play action. This will bring back the “do we sign Hoyer to a massive starting deal?” talk. Hoyer finally having weapon.

    Freedom!!!

We have a hell of an offense. The biggest issue with it is how suspect the line plays since the Mack injury…he was keeping Greco in line. Now he’s back to his supermarket door ways. McDonald may end up being a good center for this team, but right now he doesn’t have the experience he needs to be able to read those better defenses. Not a good problem to have mid-to-late season.

Regardless, look at all we’ve accomplished WITHOUT Gordon. I mean, the only receiver we had on the roster at the beginning of the season who’s name you knew was Miles Austin, and tag “washed up” came to mind when you heard the name. Give Shanny credit- he’s done a LOT with the little he’d been given. And with Gordon back, we can expect him to do a lot more. Like you said Soup, our entire offense opens up, not just the passing game.

I know this much: we just became a lot more fun to watch.

I don’t know whether we’ll win or not… I think it depends more on our defense than our offense. But I put Gordon in my starting lineup in fantasy this week. Fresh legs in week 11… yes please.

@Ice You wouldn’t believe what I went through to dig it up…

And I don’t disagree with your assessment, either- our D needs to shut down their big play ability. We do that, we win this game.

But Gordon…my oh my what a difference you’re about to see. It’s almost as exciting to me as our early Christmas present…

After we lost to Jacksonville, we turned around and won three in a row. After we beat Cincy, it felt like a trap game against the Texans. We lost.

    Here’s how I feel:

    1. If this team is legitimately pretty good, then the Texans game WAS a trap game and we fell for it. We should win this game.

    2. If this team has been playing above its head, then the Texans game WAS NOT a trap game and we played more like the team we are. If so, I think we lose this game.

Oddly, I think this game tells us everything we need to know about the rest of the season.
