If you read the whole quote it makes sense as he says “every receiver should think that way.” About wanting to be the greatest ever. Maybe we’ll catch a break and he’ll pull a Cris Carter

I know, I’m actually just kind of goading Ice lol.

I’m rooting for Josh. Not just for the sake of the Browns, but for him personally, as a human. I think it takes a great deal of courage to own up to and face those kinds of demons.

Maybe we’ll catch a break and he’ll pull a Cris Carter

I can just about guarantee that if that is the case, it will happen in a Cowboys or Dolphins jersey. The Browns will have found a way to fuck it up by lowballing him or not emailing an offer to his agent at contract time. All of his Pro-bowlery, All-pro’ing, future Hall of Faming goodness will happen somewhere else because………….well, Browns.

But we have him all of next year! Here’s hoping to a relapse free offseason so he can do some awesome shit for us before he signs with the Bears for 15 million less than what we offer him lol.

If Kizer said his goal is to be the greatest QB ever, should we hold off on drafting QB’s?

I’m glad that’s his goal. What he’s done the past 3 years has taken him in the complete opposite direction of his goal.

If Kizer led the league in passing and already had a jersey in Canton for setting a league record, then fuck yeah we should hold off on drafting a QB.

But he hasn’t. And unless he just busts out and does some awesomeness the final 8 games that settles the debate, then hell no, we should not hold off on drafting a QB.

Is there a league record for most illicit substances used prior to kickoff?

Can a kid get high by sniffing that jersey in Canton?

Yes. Lawrence Taylor owns it and his jersey is there. Brett Favre tied it and his is too.

Who said we shouldn’t draft a WR because of Gordon?

    Well played.

Yeah I was wondering that too.

Besides, we’re getting Coleman back soon too, so we’ll have 2 No. 1’s out there. (Shooter deftly brings Soups emotions into the fray, illustrating that his goading game is on point).

Two #1’s…. LOL! Coleman and his less than 500 receiving yards in his career is a number 1 receiver? Maybe some day, but not this season. And maybe you didn’t notice but Gordon hasn’t been lighting the world on fire lately. And I’m not just talking about 2015 and 2016 when he couldn’t even make it onto the field, I’m talking about 2014 when he was playing but not very well at all.

Your expectations are unrealistic, and you’re going to be very sad when they don’t pan out.

    Ice, fully goaded lol.

Your expectations are unrealistic, and you’re going to be very sad when they don’t pan out.

I don’t really know how that’s possible. My expectations for Gordon is either relapse in the offseason leading to the official end of his NFL career, or a record-setting season next year leading to him signing a massive free agent contract with another team. Either way, none of it is good news for the Browns.

My expectations for Coleman are to have 2 solid/borderline-awesome games upon his return and then fracture something else. An ankle, an elbow, maybe his pussy, who knows. That will pretty much end his run in Cleveland and relegate him to part-time slot guy, and extending the Browns run of picking absolute shit players in the 1st round to 18 out of 19 years.

To be honest the only thing that could really make me sadder when it comes to these guys is if a picture surfaced on the internet of them huffing glue together in an RTA bus station just south of the stadium at around 4am tonight. And even then I really wouldn’t be all that shocked, I’d just kind of shrug and call it par for the course.

Poor choice of words. That’s exactly what he’s been doing since he entered he league, and why he hasn’t played for 3 years

I still think he will screw up before he is allowed back on the field. He is a head case and refuses to take personal responsibility.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

He is a head case and refuses to take personal responsibility.

He’s not a head case at all, he’s an addict. In fact, he’s actually a pretty bright guy.

As far not taking personal responsibility, what more could Gordon possibly do to do that? The day before he was reinstated by the league he voluntarily checked himself into rehab, and stayed there for a considerable amount of time. He has admitted and owned up to everything he did. He has been completely truthful about his entire experience, from the substances he took and even when he started taking them. He’s admitted to being under the influence during games, and that the final shoe fell for him when he found himself wandering the streets of Florida looking for drugs.

I don’t really know how much more forthcoming the young man can be or what else there is he can do to show and prove that he has indeed taken personal responsibility for his actions. In fact I’d strongly argue that that’s exactly what he’s done and continues to do.

I can completely understand if you don’t believe in him, think that he will fail again, and that he’s disappointed you greatly. I get it. But to say that he hasn’t taken any responsibility is just dumb. Did you even watch his video?

He’s definitely a bright guy. He’s also a very damaged guy.

I want him to succeed here or nowhere. Don’t get me wrong I’m not rooting for him to fail, not at all. I think the chances of him relapsing are better than the chances of him succeeding because of the extent of his problems. For the Browns I think it’s better to move on from him.

And I know because we’re the Browns whatever decision we make will be wrong. If we trade him away he’ll become the best WR in the league. If we keep him he’ll relapse. #becauseBrowns

Did you miss the part where he said the people he hung around with got him high?

He is the only one who got himself high. He had to create a documentary just to convince the commissioner he is doing something which he believes is helping the community.

I don’t even know how to respond to that. You may as well say he’s creating his own comic book to help with the launch of his cooking channel or that his work on the new space station is being hampered by Roger Goodell. Either scenario is just as baffling crazy and nonsensical to the gibberish you just typed out there.

    No, I didn’t.

    Agreed.

Absolutely agreed. Especially considering that one of the main things taught/preached in rehab is that “relapse” is part of recovery. So, the reality is that more than likely he’s going to trip up. I hope not. Again, not for the sake of the Browns but for him as a person. Hopefully the relapses he’s had already have gotten it out of his system, but I share your pessimistic view that it’s doubtful. We’ll see and find out soon enough.

And I know because we’re the Browns whatever decision we make will be wrong. If we trade him away he’ll become the best WR in the league. If we keep him he’ll relapse. #becauseBrowns

Of course. I mean, that just goes without saying. No truer words have been spoken lol.
