Highly disappointed in Kessler. Glad I was wrong so far about Kizer Bei g named starter.

By all counts Kizer and Kessler have been shit and Osweilr has been bad.

A new year same results. No chemistry. No starter. 2 wins (assuming the inevitable 40 passes to 15 runs a game).

You want my take? Too bad, I’m going to give it anyway.

1.) Hue is higher on Oz than he thought he’d be, and we won’t cut him. This comes from the fact that we didn’t trade him i Miami. Given that Gase mentioned all his former QBs, including Tebow and Orton, he HAD to have at least called about Osweiler, but didn’t offer enough. So, we’re asking for more than just a ham sandwich for him.

2.) we still want to trade him. I think the FO sees this as an opportunity to march Osweiler out there as the “starter” in preseason, against a vulnerable Saints defense, get him some easy stats, and pump up his value. I really do. It’s a great situation for it. Look at what the eagles did with Bradford last year. Brock won’t approach a 1st in a trade, but some team could easily get desperate and go after him based on good preseason PR. A 4th or a 5th could be possible. Imagine if they pulled that off.

I could see Sashi work his magic and get a day 3 pick.

But the likelier scenario is he starts Sept. 10th while Kizer rides pine for a bit. Because I hope to GOD we aren’t pinning hopes on a rookie. Nobody should want him to start.

Well, I think that’s been the case for a while now.

we still want to trade him.

Agreed, I just think the timeline is going to be a bit different. If he outright wins the starting QB job, I expect him to keep it. At this point, the Browns are probably hoping that Osweiler has a rebound/breakout season and maximizing their leverage in a trade scenario.

I have little doubt the Browns could get a 5th or 6th for him right now. Especially from Miami pre-Cutler signing. They shopped him earlier this offseason too but never pulled the trigger on anything. This leads me to believe the Browns have and continue to put teams on notice that any deal involving Osweiler isn’t going to happen for a throw-in late round pick. If hes’a ham sandwich, it’s not the shitty pre-packaged Oscar Meyer stuff, he’s the Black Forest ham you get from the deli.

They’re probably asking for a minimum of a 3rd rounder. If Sashi gets a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him, I’m going to lay at his feet and write down everything he says in blood lol.

A better scenario would be an all-pro season and keep him. Then Sashi would be the true genius. Taking a salary dump and getting a 2nd round pick and an all-pro. How great would that be?

*reality check. We get 1st overall pick and take Darnold. He trips over Goodell on his way to being congradulated and breaks every bone in his body Evel Kenevel style and ends his career.

Hey guys, this is the move you make if you’re looking to trade Osweiler. Put him in the game with the starters so other teams can watch him play.

I’m more interested in seeing who plays 2nd… Kessler or Kizer. I fully expect it to be Kessler.

Hue wants to win now. All eyes on camp say Kizer and Kessler have sucked. Anyone praising Kizer is about his arm strength. If Brock shows well in game 1 he’ll maintain starting and won’t be traded. At this point he’s a 1 year rental that came with a 2nd round pick.

You know how I know I’m right? Because I’m disagreeing with Soup.
