MDP Sack AttackParticipantHaven’t seen more than a couple games out of the corner of my eye at a bar…is this Vince McMahon’s XFL take two? I’d heard that was in the works.
Trent Richardson is averaging 2.4 YPC in a fake league…what the fuck happened to that guy?

DawgSoldierParticipantIt’s not the xfl…that supposedly is being relaunched next year
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYD7aV5zuIU&t=1426s 90 minutes
Bill Polian is in charge of it with collaboration with the NFL.
Basically it is a developmental league for the NFL.
Bottom line there could be some Browns players that can be signed as Free agents that might be worth signing. An NFL minor league is a GOOD IDEA IMO.

MDP Sack AttackParticipantGotcha. An extra pool of active players is definitely a good thing. Probably a good four or five years before it starts paying dividends, much like the NBA D-League did, but there’s a definite merit to keeping talented/borderline players active in the game.
Still, how the fuck has Trent fallen from “can’t miss” #3 overall pick to where six years later he’s only averaging 2.4 YPC in a developmental league? Craziness.

Oh and the BS defenceless receiver and golden halo around the QB are gone. It’s like watching 90’s football again.
So disheartening when the 90’s were the Good Ole days.
Edit. Did a little looking around and found this MDP. I am thinking you may have underestimated how quick these guys could be in the league.
DE Karter Schult, DT Trenton Thompson, C J.C. Hassenauer, CB Jamar Summers & LB Shaan Washington are guys Dorsey should consider signing IMO. As they are worthy of a 90 man roster spot IMO.

IceKeymasterI haven’t watched a second of it but I’m all in favor of other football leagues. The AAF seems to intend to work together with the NFL, while XFL (part 2) will compete with the NFL.
I really want some competition for the NFL. I’m not a fan of the direction the NFL has been going in the last decade; competition will force them to hone their product. No league will actually be able to compete as long as the NFL has their BS anti-trust exemption but hopefully the XFL will get people to revisit that.

There knocking the snot out of each other including QB’s.

IceKeymasterI’m glad they’re seemingly playing hard 80’s style football, but the AAF will never compete with the NFL. They hope to get big enough to be the NFL farm league. Right now the XFL is the only league trying to take the NFL on, and as long as the NFL has an anti-trust exemption it will be impossible for any other league to compete.
