It always chaps my ass when they talk about the biggest draft busts of all time and throw Tim in there. He went to the playoffs.
He wasn’t great, but he wasn’t terrible and might have still come around had his career not been ended by injuries. But he’s nowhere near the level of terrible that Leaf, Jamarcus, and Manziel are.
Oh I totally agree. Couch should have been our QB until just a few years ago. He had plenty of talent, and had a live arm. He just got murdered behind a swiss cheese/turnstyle O-line and with no talent of any kind around him. That he did what he did is actually quite amazing.
56 sacks in his rookie year, geez.
He was a far better QB than what he got credit for, and calling him a draft bust is incredibly unfair.
I would put couch far from the biggest draft bust of all time.
He literally got us to the playoffs with bouncers and cab drivers blocking for him.
Last I knew he was doing mma. Tim always been a winner.
