No thanks. I don’t want to switch back to a 3-4 and play our best defender at a position which doesn’t suit him as well.
January 13, 2020 at 9:33 pm #17955MDP Sack AttackParticipantYeah. I really liked him as a coach with extensive experience, something I think Stefanski needs in his coordinators…but fuck no to the 3-4. We’ve invested way too much in our d-line.
January 13, 2020 at 10:15 pm #17958Dawg E. DawgParticipantFuck no. Garret, Ogunjobj, Richardson, Vernon. Why would we switch to a 3-4 when we have really good 4-3 personel? Dumb dumb dumb.
January 14, 2020 at 1:04 am #17962GABrownsFanParticipantI love Wade. But not interested in the 3-4.
January 14, 2020 at 1:54 am #17967BillWunkleParticipantWade Philips? Great DC, but his base defense is the 3-4. The personnel on the current roster are much better suited for a 4-3 set. Enough said.
Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

“Phillips runs a 4-3 under scheme, which would be a slight change for the Browns, but what has made Phillips so successful is his ability to adjust his scheme to his talent. The Browns obviously have an immense amount of talent on the defensive front anchored by Myles Garrett, Sheldon Richardson and Olivier Vernon, but if he can maximize Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams, the Browns could be a good defense quickly.”
The source the writer of this article is referring to is Ben Allbright. Nothing concrete, of course, but Allbright’s pretty good.
