ParticipantWilliams Davis and Coates all have plus to a plus speed hopefully that means they’ll get open unlike Higgins and Payton. Jordan is well known to our DC so that’s his influence to the process as for the QB I guess Kessler is a goner we’ll have to see. The D lineman is the only one I really question but maybe he fits Greg Williams scheme.

I’m guessing some of those, like the QB, will be practice squad guys.

Participantwell if the like the QB then who goes, Kessler or Hogan ? my guess is Cody, seems the team really wants to get the receiving room built up I mean we all saw little from Payton and Higgins hopefully Coates and Williams and Davis will get open and stretch the field but most important hang onto the ball.

They took the guy from Baltimore who we play week 2. I think he’s pumped for info then cut himself. Doesn’t make sense to cut two guys in your system who’ve shown promise

Pryor was offered $8 million per year for 4 years. Pryor said “No, I’m worth $10 million a year.” Redskins deal? 1 year $6 million with a potential of $2 million in incentives.
Try knowing facts before spouting ignorant statements. Browns choices were to overpay him more than they offered to overpay him or sign someone else afterhe said no. They went elsewhere, Pryor got stuck with less.
“Terrelle Pryor caught 1-of-4 targets for 17 yards in the Redskins’ third preseason game.
One of Pryor’s missed connections was a bad drop. Pryor seemed to be looking upfield before securing the ball. It caps a quiet summer, one that saw Pryor catch two passes while muffing three more. Nevertheless, the ex-Brown looked like a load in the open field. He bears a physical resemblance to Julio Jones at wideout. There’s risk — this is only Pryor’s second full season at receiver — but he offers a ton of upside as a WR2. ”2 catches this pre-eason in 3 games with 3 drops. Yeah……worth more than what he was offered originallym, okay. Sure….
That’s what I get for taking you off ignore. Back to where you belong in R.E.M.’s Ignoreland.

ParticipantSoup, king of preseason statistics.
By the way, browns offer was 17 million guaranteed of a 4 year contract. That does not equate to the same contract, but nice try.
Edit – in case you want to argue with me without bring all numbers…
Hue Jackson is a loser.

ParticipantIn relation to the new QB pick up, Kessler is in no danger. Unofficial week 1 depth chart he’s the #2 QB. After reading more, they’ll cut the Baltimore pick up then off him practice squad.

ParticipantHow do you figure soup is right?
3.25 mil a year in which he is tied to a team no matter what or
6 mil a year where he can leave after 1 year and make more.
He was on 1-15 team. Perhaps with a qb that is solid the guy will make even more money. We will see in the next 4 years if he hits his guarantee 17 mil.
But in all honesty, the dude wants to play for a competitor not the laughing stock of the NFL… The moneyball failing losing shitty Cleveland browns. The team is trash. The people who run it are trash. Another 3 win season with more draft picks that we will feed into other team.
The browns are like a minor league feeder to real teams. What a joke the osweiller move was. Garbage getting rid of Haden to our fucking competition. Garbage.
Hue Jackson is a loser.

Because……
Pryor was offered $8 million per year for 4 years. Pryor said “No, I’m worth $10 million a year.” Redskins deal? 1 year $6 million with a potential of $2 million in incentives.
Is accurate.
With 17 million guaranteed.
And because you didn’t listen.
Guaranteed money and dollars per year are two different things.
It wasn’t for 3.5 mil per year for a total of 17 million. It was for 4 years, 8 per, with 17 million guaranteed.
He turned down a 4 year 32 million dollar deal with 17 guaranteed for a 1 year 6 million dollar deal with incentives in the hopes that he has a monster year and gets the 10 mil per he feels he’s worth.
That, is how I figure Soup is right.

ParticipantHow the fuck does a thread about waiver pickups devolve into a conversation about a Pryor that isn’t on the team anymore?
You guys are so March 2017.
Speaking of ‘how’, how the fuck is Higgins on the practice squad ahead of Leslie and Hall? Yeah, I know that we haven’t even played game 1, but it’s moves like this that almost make me question whether the brass knows what the fuck they’re doing. Maybe they do and we go 15-1.
Has it become obvious that my sleep meds are kicking in yet?

Dumb things get stated. Dumb things can’t go uncorrected. That’s how misinformation spreads.

You’ve seen the Browns before right? I mean, you’ve been here haven’t you lol?

ParticipantI did say my sleep meds were kicking in. Might wanna take the whole bottle and sleep for the next month or two, judging by how the season is likely gonna play out.
Because Browns.
