RG3 is a reclamation project. If he becomes an NFL starter then Hue and Co. are geniuses. No reason not to start him. McCown isn’t the future.
Also they put it pretty plainly; comparing the pro days of Goff, Wentz, and RG3, RG3 absolutely blew them away.

You pretty much nailed it soup. It’s the same reason Kruger was cut. Is he better than some of the LBs on this team? Absolutely. But, he’s not the future, and we’re not going anywhere this year. Wasting valuable playing time on him when it could go towards developing our rookies would be asinine.
Bright side, we could see the return of the McCopter this Sunday!!
