That is the kind of speed we need. I don’t think he will be there at the end of round 2 and don’t think we would draft him in the first round.

It’s pretty clear that the Cards think his value is much higher than I do. They’re paying him as a top player in the league who will be on the field for 4 downs. I expected that level of production but as a 2-3 down player. A recent headline says that Ariz expects ‘Tom Brady-like’ return on their investment.

I just don’t see that happening.

I wouldn’t say he is back but he is getting healthier.

Since it looks like their will be a 17 game regular season, the Browns will play the Cardinals. Hopefully we will make Watt regret going to there.

And if (A big IF), he were traded, TB makes no sense at all. Why would they trade for a WR making 14.5 M this year and give up draft picks when they already have a great receiving corp. They have a lot of Free Agents to resign.

Every year OBJ trade rumors float around. Not buying.

I would say we will be bringing in at least 2 DBs in the draft and probably another 2 in free agency. Not sure we need to go the cheap route since we should be contending for the SB if the defense improves enough. Now isn’t the time to go cheap.

Regardless of speed, he would definitely be an upgrade at LB. Do you realize how pathetic the linebackers were? Our best LB against the run was Takitaki and that tells you all you need to konw. While we might not bring Kirksey back, I would say we will be bringing in a veteran LB.

Bringing in a veteran wouldn’t be bad at all. It will help with whatever rookie linebacker we bring in.

I should also point out that 6 other teams have been said to have ‘mutual interest’ with JJ just like Mary Kay says here. JJ’s agent is just trying to drum up interest. We can’t read much into these press releases.

I agree, and that’s why I’d use him as a 2 down pass rusher. Crazy idea, on 3rd and short or goal-line situations could he drop into a LB position?

Having a front 4 that can generate a consistent pass rush from both sides of the line would greatly improve our overall defense. The secondary wouldn’t have to cover the receivers for so long.

Would JJ and Garrett compete for DPOY on the same team? Because I would enjoy watching that. At this point in his career JJ might just be a 2 down DE but I’m ok with that. With our offense crackalackin not many teams are gonna be able to run on us.

No argument from me about linebackers needing to be a higher priority for the Browns. We definitely need to improve the defense. I just don’t believe the Browns will be picking a linebacker in round one.

They definitely need to improve the speed on defense.

I would correct this to say ‘linebackers haven’t been a high priority for the Browns’. I think it needs to be a higher priority than it has been.
