Guys, seriosuly look at what The Browns did versus what the Cards are doing. They hired an up and coming coordinator with a lot of nfl experience, and he’s well respected around the league. He brings on an experienced DC and OC, which will help him greatly being a first time HC.
Arizona hired a guy that couldn’t win in college with Baker May…[Read more]

Which quarter?

Multiple NFL people are reporting it now, Browns official announcement expected in the morning.
I’m going to be honest, I’m getting pretty pumped about the Browns. If we were hiring these 2 to be our HC, I would be more excited than I was for Mike Pettine or Pat Shurmur. And they’re our coordinators.
So far, the approach than Kitchens has t…[Read more]

I get you now. I agree being flexible and having a variety of looks is good, but I also agree with Soup that we should stick with the base 4-3. Which, either way I agree we need a DT.
I’m just sick of the switching back and forth and watching Jabaal sheard and Phil Taylor get replaced by Shelton and Nassib and Orchard who get replaced by G…[Read more]

Sigh. You mean a guy like Carl Nassib? Or maybe Danny Shelton?
This kind of thinking is why we keep spinning our wheels. “It’s just one or two guys.” Then some of the guys you have don’t make the transition as well as you hoped, and before you know it you have 3 or 4 holes to fill in one off season.
If we even sniff a 3-4 guy, I’ll lo…[Read more]

At least Peppers will never have to read the QB through binoculars again.

I’m not upset, but I won’t be happy until I see the replacement. If they go with a 3-4 guy, it’ll be a huge setback.

I would all for this. I don’t see Williams as a long term guy. His yelling/swearing/in-your-face stuff works in the short term, and it was a good change of pace from Hue. But long term, it wears thin on guys and it’s not sustainable. Just my opinion.
Also, while his defense was OK, it COMPLETELY FELL apart against good offenses. Anybody see…[Read more]

One thing to think about, we don’t know what drug Gordon got popped for. He SAYS weed, but we don’t know because that info is confidential. It’s always been assumed weed, but he’s also said he’s taken a lot of different drugs over the years.
Remember a few years ago, every player that failed a drug test was “using adderal”. Well, that’s just w…[Read more]

What I found in a quick google search is that the Browns got a 5th for Gordon, no strings attached.
Originally, it was reported that they would have to give the Patriots a 7th back if Gordon wasn’t active for at least 10 games this season, but in the final deal, the condition was removed and the Browns had to give a 7th to New England r…[Read more]

That’s ridiculous. If he would’ve had yogurt metastizing in his colon, his hair would’ve been blond. Read a book about DNA for once.

I mean, I’ve done the same thing golfing. It gets pretty humid during the summer. I’ve gone out on some nice late fall days where it’s a lot drier, and all of a sudden I’m hitting the ball over every green. You don’t necessarily think about the air being thin and coinciously compensate for it the way you would compensate for rain and wind.
Dawg E. Dawg replied to the topic Game balls and goats vs Denver in the forum Browns Forum 7 years, 4 months ago
I’m not gonna argue that some of his passes weren’t off target. It wasn’t his best day.
The air being thin just means the ball is going to fly farther. It’s the same reason records for long field goals are typically set at Mile High, and during the game, Baker had several passes that flew past his intended target.
Does it excuse every…[Read more]

Was just gonna day that about the tin air. The ball was soaring on him.
That said, the Broncos could not have played a better game. Everything they were doing was working out, and there were a handful of times where they narrowly avoided turnovers.
They gave the Browns their bust punch, and they came up short. That’s what I take way from t…[Read more]

True, but then again, Cajuste had a better 40 time than Larry Fitzgerald.
I’m not arguing that a WR has to be fast, they absolutely do. I’m just saying the 40 is a terrible measurement of how fast a football player is.
Only fly routes require the receiver to run in a straight line, everything else requires the receiver to stop and start, and…[Read more]

40 times are almost useless in determining if a receiver will get separation. Antonio brown ran a 4.56 and gets more separation than any other WR in the league.
When I was touting Kareem Hunt (please leave the recent women beating shit out of this convo) I was told he was too slow because his 40 was in the 4.5s. I said “look at the tape and t…[Read more]

Ahh suckabetes. There no NFL protocol for coming back from that. Manziel has to go to Canada to get treatment for his, and still, the prognosis isn’t good.
But for WR and LT, this is how good teams are built. At least we’re talking about upgrading weak positions and not fixing massive holes. That in itself is an improvement.
Also, Ric…[Read more]
