Huh. According to Cabot, it’s not even close…Kizer is kicking ass in camp. I never expected that, and I sure as fuck ain’t drinking the Kool-Aid.
Sashi may be on to something though.

And then there’s this (not sure if Twitter videos imbed…if not, follow the link). Dude made Thomas look like Cam Erving. I mean, I know better than to get excited but…I’m a little excited.

Well, to be fair, he hasn’t gone full-blown knee-jerk.
Alas, the season is still young.

First off, welcome back from summer vacation. Or are the kids these days calling it a ‘vaycay’?
I say Kessler. Better protection up front, less concussions. Less concussions are good for not having to worry about figuring out which Coleman to throw it to. Less double-vision means more games won.
But it doesn’t matter, because we’ll be too busy…[Read more]

Well, we tend to lose those, too. Probably due to them showing promise.

That was one of the worst injuries, ever. Sad, because not only was he decent (at least for the Ratbirds), but that ended his career.
And that’s been the Browns MO since ’99. A sad mix of ineptitude and injuries. Just when there’s hope, something rips the heart of the team (except when Pat Shurmer was here…it was hopeless from the start).

No “official” word, but it’s supposedly not serious.
That said, I can easily agree with you Soup, that would indeed be just our luck.

LMFAO. I caught that too.

Agreed. He’s honest, not biased or visceral.
Still, he comes off like a dick at times, don’t he?

What I take from it is this: it’s OTAs. It’s spring. A time for hope.
And most likely meaningless until the pads go on. Because as it stands, all the QB play hasn’t come close to the overall play of the defense…which has been described as “swarming”.
Again, these things are all difficult to gague without pads. Still, if Osweiler made strides…[Read more]

I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what’s in store. I don’t think we had the free agency signings we did to not run the ball more. Hue even says he wants to be a run first team.
Last year Crow damn near had 1000 with the low amount of touches he had. Imagine what happens with 20 a game (with the revamped line). Shaping up to be a monster year for him.

See, I was gonna say “I don’t like the taste Bowe left in my mouth”, but after careful consideration, I decided that would give you (and most likely Ice) the least amount of ammo…
And then you had to go off to see a fucking wizard. I can’t win with you.

Ugh, I’m not quite over the last receiver we got from the Chefs.
So I dunno.

Demario Davis, straight-up.
Not bad at all, if they can get him to produce similar to Taylor like last season.

We came into this season with a ton of needs. You’d be foolish to think we could fill them all in one off-season.
Yet we did a hell of a lot better than expected. Shored up both lines, invested in productive players, and drafted at least 6 players that will likely start this year and be an upgrade to what we already have.
That is a damn clinic…[Read more]

Right, as a GM. Couldn’t agree more.
But instead of explaining, I’ll direct you to his Wiki page.
Really, he’s been a scout long before a GM. And as long as he doesn’t talk to people (other than his bosses), he’ll be fine.
Berry has likely been pushing for this since he was fired.
