Decent price for a decent player. 4 year deal, with $12mil guaranteed…I think.
I’m ok with it

I seen something on Bleacher Report about us “reportedly” offering 8 million. His agent will play the market, but he’ll likely resign with us when it’s all said and done.
Which means you can blame me when he doesn’t.

Other than the first three names you mention in the draft, I don’t know on the who’s who. Paired with the names you’ve thrown out in the FA category however, I would be absolutely stoked to see us sign those guys.
Amazing that you’re the first person I’ve noticed to mention McDonald (though it’s possible I missed something somewhere). He’s a…[Read more]

You know why I would suck at that job?
Because my brain hurt on the first fucking sentence. In my defense, I sometimes struggle with “do you want fries with that?” as well.
When it comes to math, the only answer I can manage is “Neat. You want a beer or something?”
So, um…beer, anyone?

Let us know how that goes, brother. You’d make a great company man. Not to mention you have some great write-ups on players. I’d like to see the focus shift to other draft targets, however. Maybe the sleepers and possible hidden gems?
Plus, you could give us some inside info. Kind of like that dude from Dawgbones that we all thought was Phil…[Read more]

What a class act. He isn’t the greatest to ever walk through the door, but I’ve always liled the guy.

Well, I’m sure this isn’t the first train she’s led.
It’s the same shit every year. She always has “people”…though I suspect that’s what she calls the voices in her head.
Still, I wouldn’t be opposed to Trubisky myself, provided he rides a horse named Bench all year. Big boy, deadly accurate, and more raw than Mary Kay after her first…[Read more]

The main question is simply this- can he learn to put those physical skills to use in the NFL? Dude has an amazing arm and release. And yeah, he would have plenty to learn, but the best part about him is is that he knows it.
What I love above all else is his willingness to be coached up…if we did draft him, he ideally wouldn’t see the field…[Read more]

I just looked at a very, very well done breakdown of him. Check it out for yourselves.
Totally could see him going at #12.

Well, either you can recruit McCown to hang out with all of us when we meet up at the Three Wise Pigs (or whatever the fuck that was called again), or your rich ass is getting us all drunk.
*grumbles* $38 fucking 50…
EDIT: The Triple Pickle, remembered as soon as I hit submit lol. I knew it had something to do with “3”.

Since most folks here are skilled enough to GM a team right to the Super Bowl next season, what advice do you offer Sashi and Co. about how we approach 2017 once free agency hits? What moves do you make? Who do you resign? Who gets shown the door? What young free agents get picked up? Who do we draft…and do you use free agency to help develop…[Read more]
DawgPoundDude replied to the topic Tyrod Taylor in the forum Browns Forum 9 years, 2 months ago
Well, it’s pretty simple to me…no matter who attaches him to Cleveland, if he does leave Buffalo, it’s because they aren’t offering him a payday. And if we want him, he’s going to want to be paid. Judging by our recent history of signing QBs that have been released, we aren’t going to offer they kind of contract he wants…unless Hue is really…[Read more]

So what if we signed him and draft a QB with pick #12?
Doesn’t seem like a scenario anyone has envisioned so far. I’d be good with it, provided we ended up with at least an average season.
Because, let’s face it, that would be spectacular, all things considered.

If you don’t already have a sig bet on your convictions, I would gladly offer one up. For however long you want.
I don’t see it. Garrett, almost guaranteed. Definitely won’t be a quarterback.
DawgPoundDude replied to the topic Tyrod Taylor in the forum Browns Forum 9 years, 2 months ago
You gotta admit, Soup, our options are pretty fucking limited in terms of getting a signal caller.
Doesn’t mean I don’t agree with you. Fuck you for being right.
DawgPoundDude replied to the topic Uh-oh, Garrapalo! (or maybe some McCarron?) in the forum Browns Forum 9 years, 2 months ago
Agreed Soup. That said…what’s the alternative?
Personally, I don’t think the answer is already on our roster. I like Kessler, but I think he plateaus at average at best.
So it’s either gonna have to happen in the draft or by cutting a deal, coupled with the element of the unknown. We usually end up with the shit end of the stick no matter…[Read more]
