Good comparisons Uncle Bill. It’s certainly hard to argue with.

The dude beat the shit out of himself for this team. He speaks about it on his ThomaHawk podcast. WAY more to it than his recent injury.
Dude is the epitome of Cleveland. One tough SOB, and one hell of a good guy.

I think there should be a bonus 6 months involved if you guys guess who gets drafted at 4.
DawgPoundDude replied to the topic Looks like the end of the road for Joe Thomas in the forum Browns Forum 6 years, 8 months ago
Really, can’t go too wrong either way by signing him. Not a bad contingency plan, all things considered.
I mean, let’s face it…one doesn’t replace Joe Thomas. The best you can hope for is plugging a guy in with the hope that he can be half as good.
Still, if we can get one or two more years out of JT, we might finally have a shot (albeit…[Read more]

Out of all the wheeling and dealing this weekend, this is by far the weakest move made. While far from playing at a Pro Bowl level, Shelton was far from terrible. While I don’t mind him being moved, the compensation seems quite light.
Ol’ Bill just got his yearly fleecing in, and Dorsey was the sheep.

…for a conditional pick. Another first-rounder gone.
DawgPoundDude replied to the topic Summation in the forum Browns Forum 6 years, 8 months ago
Yeah, I gotta say, with all things considered, it was a helluva good day. We got a lot of good and gave up relatively little for it. It may or may not pan out, but it certainly shows that Dorsey has every intention of making us into a contender.
I’m 100% on board with these moves, and free agency hasn’t even begun!

I LOL’d. Scared the shit outta my sleeping puppy, too.
Dammit, now its potty time. Thanks Shooter!

I want Barkley on our team, bad. But after the Taylor trade, the QB that makes the most sense is now Darnold. And they likely don’t risk it and get him at #1.
Which sucks, because Barkley likely doesn’t make it to #4.

I’m glad. Say what you want about Hue, but he certainly gets it in terms of our alumni. Doubt he makes a major difference (the rules were way different when he was returning kicks), but good stuff nonetheless.

That’s a high pick for a project. Make no mistake, he’s a great guard. But shift him over to tackle and…who knows? But that’s just it…when you’re in the top 5, you’d better be damn sure that whoever you take will do what you drafted him to do.
We have too many needs to get crafty.

You know who’s helping himself at the Combine so far (QB-wise)?
Mayfield.
And you know who is putting up Myles Garrett-like numbers?
Barkley.
Fuck the QB discussion- this dude is lightning in a bottle of nitro glycerin. Draft him at #1. Resign Charlie Frye and shut Soup up. Get the BPA at one and let the QB you want at #4. Yeah, he’s that good.

…didn’t I tell you that Jeff Bridges couldn’t talk him off that ledge, Ice? Why are the polar ice caps melting? Why did JFK get shot? Why are Siamese twins born?
Pretty sure Loser Hue Jackson or Jimmy Haslam will always be the answer.

That’s a matter of opinion, obviously. I’m all for this scenario.
So…what happens if Dorsey trades the pick (he hinted it’s a possibility today)?
